Lisa's POV
"I've been looking after them every day" Cory said while she's putting the food down on my table. She's very accommodating for someone who just met me. I feel like I also have a mom here
"Jennie did told me" I said, I eventually told her everything about Jennie and I and she said she wasn't even shocked cause whenever Jennie's at her place it feels like Jennie's too far from being happy even though she's married
"What day is it today?" She ask making me look at my phone
"Thursday" I said
"Jennie will go to work first, Kang's schedule is around noon time" Cory said making me look up at her. She look up at me as well and shrug her shoulders "I'm just saying"
"You want me to check up on her?" I ask
"I'm just informing you that she'll go to work earlier but since that's the first thing you thought of, then you should probably do that" I chuckle at how she's trying to be subtle about it
"What about Ella?" I ask
"One of her friend's mom pick her up to take them both to school if she doesn't have the same time as Jennie or Kang. Anyway, I'll go now. I still have to clean up before I go to the grocery store" it's impressive that Cory seems to be doing a bunch of stuff at her age
"Alright, thank you for the food. I'll eat it before I go to work" I said as I walk her towards the door. Once she entered her own place I stayed at the door for a bit and eventually closing it since Jennie's no where. When I was about to walk away from the door I heard keys shuffling and footsteps outside so I open up the door making Jennie stop from walking
"What?" She said casually
"What?" I said as well "nothing, I was just... I'm just here. I uh- I walk Cory out" I said stuttering a bit
"Cory's not there..." She said looking at my side
"She just entered her place... Whatever, bye take care" I said giving up. I don't want to explain further cause I'm just making myself look like a fool. I turn around but left the door open anyway and as expected I heard Jennie's footsteps behind me
"Why didn't you close your door, were you waiting for me?" She ask making me smile but I just kept quiet as I head towards the couch. I sit down which Jennie did as well as she scoot over to face me "you're not leaving for work yet?" She ask while she started checking my clothes while also fixing and dusting it off
"I'll be leaving later, I'll just eat " I said while her eyes are roaming around trying to tidy up my clothes "did Kang hurt you last night?" I ask
"He was sleeping when I went back and he's busy with paper works when I left so we didn't really talk a lot" she said as she move up to fix my hair this time. It seems like she's fixing everything but she's just checking what I'm wearing and all that. She does this a lot back then and it's somehow different but at the same time refreshing right now. It makes me quite awkward but in a good way if that makes sense
"Have you eaten?" I ask making her nod
"I cooked breakfast for Ella earlier so I did eat as well"
"Don't skip your meals alright?" I said and this time she stick her eyes back at me as she nod and smile
"Yes mom" she said teasingly making me chuckle "I'll be late for work, I need to go" she said. I stood up as well to walk her out the door but she put her hand up "I'm just gonna sneak out. We might get caught like this" she said
"Then that's a reason for divorce, no?" I said half jokingly
"He can use this but at the same time he'll still push the custody towards Ella so he'll just end up winning everytime"
"I understand" I said making Jennie nod. I just stood like that as she walk towards the door and my eyes just follows her. She's right at the door when I saw a tall man infront of her so I immediately run towards them
"Who are you?" Jennie asks as I sigh out of relief when I saw Mingyu standing there. I thought it was Kang. At first Mingyu looks a bit puzzled but when he saw me behind Jennie he smiles and wave at me before putting his gaze back on Jennie
"I'm Mingyu, Lisa's assistant photographer" he said politely and also bowing a bit probably recognizing Jennie's Korean features
"Do you just walk in without knocking or what?" Jennie said in a quite cold tone
"Oh no no... I was gonna knock but the door is slightly left open so I thought there's something wrong-"
"You should still knock"
"No no it's alright.. Mingyu's already a friend" I said just to stop Jennie from making an argument bigger
"You guys just started working right?" Jennie asks making Mingyu nod "do you build trust that fast?" This time Jennie turn her head around to look at me
"I mean.. Mingyu is a nice guy-"
"Good for you" she said cutting me off abruptly "Lisa will eat and dress up so do you mind waiting outside?" She said and I don't even know if that was supposed to be a polite or sarcastic way of saying that
"No no.. it's okay" Mingyu said politely as he step back a bit while smiling. Jennie then walk away to go straight to the elevator
"Mingyu you can wait inside, I'll just talk to someone" I said in almost a whisper as I run towards Jennie. I immediately grab her wrist lightly to stop her when the elevator door open and 7 familiar faces appear. A fuming small woman walks out in a rush with her brows furrowed as another woman pulls her hand back trying to stop her
"Where the fuck is that Kang douchebag??!!" Irene almost yell out at how mad she is. I look behind her to see Seulgi trying to pull her back. I tilt my head a bit to peek behind them and saw Jisoo, Chaeyoung, Jackson, Bambam and Eunwoo inside the elevator
"Why the fuck are y'all here??" I said and the three guys at the back of the elevator just wave at me like elementary kids
"Did you call them?" Jennie ask turning to look at me
"I was just talking to Jisoo yesterday- I didn't know they'll jump on the earliest flight "
"Ya Jennie are you okay?! Where did he hurt you?!" Irene said checking up on her best friend since she didn't know about this either. She just knew that they get married but like Jennie said, Irene is also busy with her work back in Korea so it is hard for her to visit often
"This is not a good idea" I said but Jisoo flick my forehead once she stepped out of the elevator
"Do you think we'll cause a ruckus like a 7 year old?" She said
"Then why'd you brought everyone with you?" I said
"Of course your brain won't work when it comes to this stuff so we're doing you a favor. We'll try and help"
