"Thanks, Vanessa," I said tiredly today has been the most inefficient day I've ever had. I sighed and sauntered through my closet.

I picked a white turtle neck and some leggings and grabbed my bag. Today I was going to the bookstore since I don't have anything too in the house.

I haven't been staying here much I've been drowning myself in work since I'd rather be busy than be in this house with Alejandro.

Yes, I was still mad at him, of course, who is going to be mad?!

I sighed and strolled downstairs and went straight to the exit. When I got outside I walked towards my car and unlocked it with my keys.

I placed my bag on the passenger seat and buckled up. Today I didn't have Jorge with me since he was busy and I was more than happy to give him a day off.

I started my car and drove off to the bookstore. I've been spending most of my days there usually after work.

This one will do.

I thought to myself and pulled out a romance book from the shelves and quickly went to the tables to read.

I grabbed my phone out of my bag and placed on some music that was not too loud for me to concentrate. I started to read as the sunlight shines through the big windows that hit my face.

"Miss? Is anyone sitting here?" I hear someone say, I looked up and gasped to see a guy.

"I'm so sorry. No, no one sitting there, you can sit there." I say to him and gestured him to sit down in the chair in Infront of me.

"Thanks." He said and smiled. Wow, he was quite handsome. He was wearing some glasses that covered his handsome face but still, I could still see that beautiful face.

I started to read again and suddenly my phone rang.

I looked at it and it was Alejandro. What the heck do those he want?

I answered the call and sighed.

OTP:

"Hello?" I asked.

"Where are you?" He asked with no emotion.

"I'm at the bookstore, reading..." I said and closed the book that I was reading, I know if I get a little stubborn this fight will just get bigger so might as well answer him.

"Okay." He said and before I could speak he ended the call as usual...

End of conversation.

Weird. Why would he call me?

"Boyfriend?" I heard the guy in Infront of me ask.

"No husband," I said and placed my phone down.

"Arguments?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No, but you can say that I guess," I said.

"When did you guys get married?" He asked again.

"This year," I said and opened my book.

"You, do you have a girlfriend?" I asked and he chuckled.

"Boyfriend correction." He said and I laughed.

"Ohh I'm sorry," I said, and just smiled at me nodded.

"We're getting married next year." He said and I gasped.

"Wow, congrats," I said and gave him a high five, okay I don't even know why I'm having a conversation with a guy I don't even know the name of.

What's your name?" I asked.

"Tom, Tom Jackson. You?" He replied happily.

"I'm Camila, Camila Ro- I mean Huxley," I said and looked down, I sighed and realized that I wasn't even used to my name now.

"Is something wrong?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Nothing..." I said and looked back up.

He nodded and both of us began to read again.

It was quite peaceful to have freedom, once again after a long time.

When I was done reading I looked at the time and it was 3 P.M. I and Tom have been here reading in quietness together.

I yawned and stretched my arms and he chuckled.

"I'll come back." He said and with that, he left me alone and left his stuff there.

I raised my eyebrows in curiosity but decided to let it go.

I started putting my belongings back into my bag and returning the books I had finished reading. I stacked the books I wanted to read on the side of the table.

I was about to go to the cashier but suddenly I saw Tom walking towards me.

"Coffee?" He said and i nod.

"Thanks, how'd you know?" I asked as he gave me a cup.

"You were yawning I wouldn't want you to sleep here." He said and I laughed.

"Welp I gotta go, the next time I'll see you in, my treat," I said and winked and strolled to the cashier.

"Wow, it's your 6th time this week. Impressive." The owner of the bookstore Mr. Cowell said to me and I laughed.

He gave me back my credit card and I looked at him confused. "I'm going to give you these for the free child." He said with his old western accent.

"No I ca-" before I could speak he cut me off again.

"Come on, child, you deserve a break. Life is difficult, which is why it bestows rewards; never underestimate the value of a blessing." I grinned as he said it.

"Thank you, Mr. Cowell," I said and took my credit card and placed it inside my wallet.

I walked out of the bookstore with the books  and my next stop is at the mall.

I've changed a lot since marrying Alejandro; a new look will be excellent for a fresh start, and I'd like to forget about all that transpired this year...

It's time to make amends for a fresh start.

A turning point in my life.
