Alejandro's P.O.V

"Alejandro, please."

Camila breathed and glanced at me and pulled away. I lost my guard again. I simply wanted to hold her and kiss her passionately, but she despised me. She believed I had taken advantage of her. Yes, at first, then I fell in love with her a second time.

"Non baciarmi mai più, altrimenti non ti parlerò per davvero." She told me, and I smiled. I had never heard her talk to me in Italian before. She has an angelic accent.

(Translation: Never kiss me again, or else I'm not talking to you for real.)

"Posso baciarti in qualsiasi momento amore mio." I answered, and she glared at me.

(Translation: I can kiss you anytime my love.)

"Le persone chiuse stanno fissando." She complained to me, and I looked around to see everyone looking at us. I smiled and held her hand as she yanked it away.

(Translation: Shut up, people are staring.)

Our food arrived after a few minutes, and we both began to eat. I acknowledged the days when we would always have breakfast together and chat about our ambitions and ideas, but now it appears as if she has a chain preventing us from being together, as if someone is prompting her to be frugal.

I know she loves me because I sense it, but what good is love if you can't express it?

"Did you love me back then?"Camila questioned out of the blue, I looked at her and our eyes connected.

"Of course I did, love..." I told her honestly, and she looked at me and chuckled sarcastically.

"I don't know what your perspective on love is, but if it involves exploiting someone, I'm telling you right now that's not love. you played me," she added, and I shrugged as her words pierced my heart.

I protested with her, "Camila, I actually loved you; Valentino is just lying... love, trust me."

"Alejandro, just stop- I'm exhausted of all your lies; I have so many questions for myself and it's difficult to comprehend, and now even our-" She expressed everything to me with all her strength, and I could tell she was battling her dread and despair, but then she abruptly stopped.

"Our?" I inquired, and she shrugged.

"I'm leaving," she says as she rises and collects her bag, and everyone looks at us. I followed her as she went out of the restaurant. I'm not sure why, but I was really eager to hear what she had to say.

"Camila, love, just listen to me. I can prove it. I truly loved you. Come back to me," I pleaded, and she came to a halt and turned around.

She walks away, saying, "Leave me alone, Alejandro," but I pulled her back and grabbed her hand.

"Mother and Father wanted you to spend supper at their place, and I told them you were alive the day before yesterday, and they wanted to see you. "Camila, they miss you. As she hummed, I replied, "Do this for them, even if it's not for me."

"I love you," I told to her, and she walked away without responding.

I returned to the restaurant with a sigh.

Camila P.O.V

I couldn't help but cry when I heard Alejandro's comments. My heart pounded. I snatched my hand away from his and walked away. Was he correct? Is it possible that Valentino made up lies? I'm not sure who I'm meant to believe.
