As I made my way to Valentino's study, it began to rain heavily. I hope there will be no thunderclaps; I despise loud thuds...

I exhaled when I eventually found my way there without asking any questions.

When I knocked on the door, I heard a deep voice reply, "Come in," and I took a deep breath before seizing the doorknob and walking in.

I kept my head down, refusing to look into his eyes.

"What do you want?" I inquired, taking a seat on the sofa far away from his desk.

"I wanted to talk to you..." He exhaled and approached, each step closer to me making me quiver. His presence was no longer reassuring; instead, it was unsettling.

He sat near me, and I stepped away from the couch.

"Camila," he stated solemnly.

"Sit next to me," he said, and I grumbled and walked to his side, still avoiding eye contact.

Suddenly, I felt him take my chin; he forced me to look at him, but I didn't want to, so I looked to the side.

"Amore, look at me," he whispered quietly, and I sighed, closing and opening my eyes to face him.

"I just wanted to apologize about the other day," he said quietly, and I furrowed.

"Valentino, it's easy to apologize since you don't know..." I said quietly, and he clenched his fist.

"What do you mean?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.

I grumbled, refusing to speak to him anymore, and then he said something that astonished me: "You think I don't know about your past? About the person, you met. " He whispered into my ear, and I was taken aback.

I got to my feet and stared at him.

"I don't want to talk about it," I responded, trembling.

"I know Camila, but if you want to talk to someone, I'm here," he added, standing up and approaching me.

He put his arms around my waist, holding me from behind, and I turned around to see his eyes, which reminded me of the eyes of the guy I once loved...

Suddenly, loud lightning struck, and I startled and grabbed him, tears welling up in my eyes. Suddenly, another one struck, and I yelled quietly, and he hugged me, drawing me close as I sobbed.

"I'm here," he said quietly, as though to assure me that I wasn't alone...

He carried me and placed me on the couch. He had me sit in his lap and held me. The tempest subsided, and my screams turned to sniffles.

"I dreaded that time in my life..." I murmured to him, as he gently caressed my back.

"You made them come back," I tried to justify, and I felt he was guilty.

"I know, Amore," he apologized, and I sighed, raised my head, and held him back.

He kissed my cheek and I nodded.

As usual, I was anxious; I couldn't believe Valentino knew about my background; not even my parents knew, and now he purportedly does. He is something, yet he is so possessive that it is frightening.

As I finished cleaning up Michael, I smiled; today we were going somewhere, which piqued my interest after Valentino mentioned it after breakfast.

I was dressed in a white long-sleeved, turtle neck shirt with a tight skirt and a cardigan, while my son was dressed in a nice red turtle neck sweater and some shorts.

"Come on, Uncle Valentino's waiting outside," I said to Michael as I carried him, taking his bag of clothing and his necessities such as milk and diapers.

As we stepped outside, I noticed Miss Caroline getting the car ready.

"Camila!" Francine yelled, grabbing the items from me.

"Why are you carrying them, I already promised you I'd get them," she adds, adding, "Francine is my friend. She's compassionate and extremely sweet."

"Francine, I'm just trying to assist," I explain, and she shakes her head and takes Micheal away from me.

"Camila, you need to relax, now do as I say," she says as I pout, and she giggles.

As we were walking, I felt a set of powerful arms wrap about my waist and someone nuzzle their head against my neck.

"Are you ready?" I heard their voice and immediately knew Valentino.

"Yeah, and where are we going?" I said, turning around.

"Secret," he replies, making me pout.

"You'll know when we get there. I guarantee you'll adore it," he adds as he kisses my temple.

He took my hand and led me outside; there were too many people for such a short trip. There were at least nine cars lined up and a large number of employees preparing things.

When I took Micheal from Francine, she smiled and waved goodbye.

Valentino opened the door for me, and when I sat with Micheal in my arms, he sat next to me and told the driver to go.

"Can I hold him?" Valentino inquired, and I obliged and passed him, Micheal.

Micheal laughed and tinkered with his watch. They appear to be quite cute together.

As I kept looking at them, a smile emerged on my lips.

Alejandro's P.O.V

"Did you find out where he is going?"

Dante nodded as I asked him.

"He is going to the farm today, sir, with Mrs. Huxley, but I'm not sure why," Dante answered, and I nodded.

"Get the car ready, it's time to pay a quick visit to my brother and get what's mine," I said, and Dante agreed.

"Roger that, Sir," he responded as he departed my office.

I'm going to save you now, love...
