"Eren?"

"Eren?"

My head hurt just thinking about what Reiss had said. Eren... what about him? She wouldn't tell me, but she had a concerned look on her face that made my mind stood to dark places. I was lying in my bed, just staring at the ceiling whilst I tried to puzzle things together one way or another. What did she mean about Eren? Was he another assistant? No... that can't be it. He's not in psychology, and Ackerman said I'd be the only assistant. Not to mention he seemed desperate to find someone to replace the former one.

"Ugh, whatever." I sighed and pulled the sheets over my face. A knock on my door snapped me out of my daze, making me spring out of bed. I was wearing my pajamas, but it wasn't anything totally embarrassing. They were silky and f/c. I opened the door slowly. To my surprise, it was Armin. He'd kissed me at the party. I remember it clearly. Too clearly...

"Hey uh.. y/n." He chuckled awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck. His stance was very uncomfortable-looking. As if he was sent here against his will. Maybe doing a dare or so.

"It's 10PM... what are you doing here?" I asked him as I opened the door a little further than before. He sighed as he looked into my eyes. I could tell there was something bottled up inside him. It was as if he was upset. By something or someone.

"I uh... I heard from a friend that you're joining Hange." He nervously choked out. I put my hand to his chest as I looked at him. I felt his heartbeat. It was as rapid as anything.

"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. Who did you hear it from?" I squinted my eyes slightly in suspicion. I hadn't told anyone. Only Pieck. Not even Sana knows about it. She doesn't even know about Pieck and I.

"I don't think I'm allowed to say." He was gritting his teeth. I saw how nervous he looked at me. His knuckles were clutched too.

"Why did you show up just to tell me that?" I quirked an eyebrow as I crossed my arms. He quickly fixed his posture as his eyes grew darker, along with his face. He looked more serious than usual. Which was... unusual.
