Hange led me down a dark hall. It was dimly lit, but the lights were flickering. I helt the hairs on my arms stick straight up. We made it to a large steel door. It had a circle shaped window in the middle of it. Hange typed in a pass code. I watched the door slide to the side. Everything felt so unreal. When we walked inside, I saw a completely white room. It was huge. I couldn't tell where the walls were. There were small rooms sectioned like a suburban neighborhood. It looked surreal, but kind of funny at the same time. The rooms were also white. If I hadn't payed attention, I wouldn't have known there were any rooms. Everything was just... white. All white. Hange continued walking, so I followed right behind them. I didn't want to get lost in all this madness after all.

"This is where most patients spend their time with us." They blurted out whilst walking. The room seemed endless. I couldn't begin to imagine when we were at the end.

"I have a question." Hange stopped walking and turned around to face me. With a clipboard in one hand, they raised the other and placed it on my shoulder.

"Shoot!"

"Would you um- happen to know uh-"

"Just say the name. Don't worry, I only bite occasionally." They winked and laughed.

"Eren." Their facial expression went from a smile to a frown.

"Yeager?" They asked. I simply nodded.

"Yeah, I know him. Him and his brother are quite similar, but vastly different." I was more curious now.

"What's he like?" Hange let the question simmer in their mind for a bit. They were probably collecting data, stored in their brain somewhere. They were like a walking search engine. Almost like Armin. Except the fact that he was merely a teacher's pet.

"Well. He keeps spewing random stuff about freedom and how this country is doomed. Quite perplexing. What I find even more curious though...-" They pulled out an iPad of sorts and showed me a body of text. It read:

Entry #18

Patients have been following Eren around like lost puppies upon inflicting harm on themselves with intention to do so. So far, there's nothing to be made of it. We currently have no information regarding their behaviour, but perhaps drugs should be considered? More testing required...

"What's that supposed to mean?" Hange shrugged. Their guess was apparently as good as mine.

"It's almost as if they're sane but not? I find that they're highly intelligent in that state. Their adrenaline contributes to growth in strength as well. I have no idea how it's happening. I've considered the possibility of drugs. However, I wouldn't know which. It would take months of vigorous testing." They spoke as we continued walking. Finally, we reached the end of the room. Or so it seemed. They opened yet another steel door. It had lots of locks on it. When we stepped inside, I saw him.

"Eren?" He looked different. His eyes had a sharp glare. His face seemed rougher too. Almost as if he was mid tantrum, but not actually lashing out. It was perplexing, to say the least.

"I'm sure you know Y/n! She goes to the same college as you." He turned away and sat on his bed. I expected the living conditions to be much worse. Like prison or something. This room was better than the dorms back home.

"Yeah, I know her. She's always around that bitch, Pieck." I clenched my fists. I wasn't going to let his words affect me, bit I was close to punching his face. Right then. Right there.

"Watch your mouth, titan boy." I remembered his nickname from all the stupid drawings and paintings he made. Titans. That was all he was interested in. Then there was Mikasa of course. He wouldn't admit it, but he was clearly in love with her.
