It was still early. I wasn't exactly sure what time it was, but the sun wasn't even all the way up yet. Pieck sat beside me. Luckily, Sana had a driver's license. She had agreed to drive us. I almost never visited the cabin or the place my sister died, but I felt a certain need to be there. She liked winter anyway. Visiting her this time of the year would make her happy.
"Y/n, you're spacing out. We were talking about lunch plans." I shook my head and snapped myself out of the short trance I had been stuck in.
"I was thinking we could make lunch at the cabin. I brought groceries with me." I nodded at her words. I knew she sensed how anxious I was. Last time I was at the cabin, I was accompanied by 3 other people, and my mind wasn't constantly thinking about my sister. I guess it's only natural since I'm going for her.
"We're here guys." Sana stated and turned off the engine. The cabin looked as well kept as last time. Almost... too well kept? Was the paint fresh? I eyed the building. The paint did indeed seem fresh. I gasped slightly and pulled Pieck's arm. She turned around, cocking an eyebrow. I slowly shook my head and looked back at the house. She closed the car door and sat back down.
"What's the matter?" Her soft voice was calming and I could feel the warmth spread through my entire body.
"Didn't you notice the paint? Doesn't it seem... new?" She looked past me and stared out the window when she tilted her head and squinted her eyes.
"Y/n... aren't your parents really rich? Like... 'owns several sports cars' really rich?" I furrowed my eyebrows and turned around to take a more thorough look at the property. A black Lamborghini...
