Genevieve’s P.O.V
It was the next day and everyone was in the Great Hall eating Breakfast and I was sitting next to Hermione as she read the Daily Prophet until she spoke up about what she was reading, “look at this. I can’t believe it! She’s done it again. Miss Granger, a plain but ambitious girl, seems to be developing a taste for famous Wizards. Her latest prey, sources report, is none other than the Bulgarian bonbon, Viktor Krum. No word yet on how Harry Potter’s taking this latest emotional blow” she read from the paper until Nigel walked up to Ron with a package before he stood there staring at Harry with a small smile on his face until Ron noticed and tried to get him to leave, “what was that all about” I asked as I ate my cereal, “I told him I’d get him Harry’s autograph” he told us as he began to open the package, “oh look mum sent me something” he said as he soon revealed what was inside as it made me spit out what I had in my mouth, “what in the bloody hell is that” I said before wiping my mouth before chuckling, “mum sent me a dress” Ron said holding it against him, “well it does match your eye’s. Is there a bonnet, ah ha” Harry said as he grabbed it from the box and held it up to Ron, “nose down Harry” Ron said, “why, he’s not wrong” I said with a smile, “whatever” he said before walking over to Ginny, “Ginny, these must be for you” he said to her as both Hermione and I giggled at her response, “I’m not wearing that, it’s ghastly” she told him and we just continued to laugh as he walked back to his spot, “what are you on about” he asked confused, “they’re not for Ginny” Hermione said before I spoke up, “they’re for you” I said as everyone nearby laughed, “they’re dress robes” Hermione told him, “dress robes? For what” he asked looking around, “my Aunt told me there’s apparantly going to be a Yule Ball on Christmas Eve and that it goes on every time there’s a TriWizard Tournament” I answered him as he sat down and put the clothing back in the box, “since when and how come we haven’t heard about it till now” Ron asked and I just shrugged, “no clue, she had just told me last night” I told Ron as we continued eating.

Later that day, everyone that was in Gryffindor were gathered in a room as Aunt Minerva stood the the middle, “now before you all sit down, I would like the ladies on one side of the room and the gentlemen on the other” she said as Mr. Filch was trying to figure out the music, “the Yule Ball has been a tradition of the TriWizard Tournament since its inception. On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well mannered frivolity. As representatives of the host school, I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward. And I mean this literally because, the Yule Ball is first and foremost, a dance.” she said to everyone until they started talking with one another about it until Aunt Minerva spoke up again, “Silence. The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the Wizard World for nearly Ten Centuries. I will not have you, in the course of a single evening, besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons. Now to dance, is to let the body breath. Inside every girl, a secret swan slumbers longing to burst forth and take flight. Inside every boy, a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mr Weasley” she said as she looked over to Ron as she grabbed him by the shirt, “And Genevieve” she said as she came over to me and grabbed my arm and put me in front of Ron, “no place your right hand on her waist” she said and we both went wide eyed, “where” he said as she repeated, “her waist” she said again and he did what she asked and I put my hand on his shoulder and the other in his other hand until we heard someone whistle, “Mr. Filch if you please” she asked until the Music started to play, “One, Two, Three, One, Two, Three, One, Two, Three” she began to say as both Ron and I began to move until Aunt Minerva spoke up again, “everybody come together. Boy’s on your feet please” she said as the girls quickly stood up and the boys didn’t do a thing except for Neville as he eventually stood up and we all did what Aunt Minerva asked as everyone in the room began to dance with their Partners until it was eventually over for the day. As soon as everyone walked out, both Fred and George rushed up to either side of me, “don’t bother saying anything about Ron and I” I said with a chuckle, “alright then but you’ve spoiled the fun just so you know” Fred said and I laughed, “so have you started to think about who you wanted to take to the ball” I asked as we entered the Common room, “well no not yet, but now that I think about it, I was thinking about asking Angelina” Fred said as we sat down on the couch and continued talking for a while longer after getting changed out of our Uniforms before heading to bed for the night.
