Chapter Forty: Deathly Hallows

It has been a few days and both Remus and I along with Fred, George, Hermione, Ron, Mad-eye, Bill and his soon to be wife Fluer, Hagrid and a newbie who’s name was Mundungus Fletcher and after sometime of standing in front of Harry’s house I had felt someone tap on my shoulder and turned to see that it was Fred and George, “hey Genny, how are you feeling” Fred asked and I sighed a little, “I’m feeling alright, just worried I guess you can say. How are you guys doing, are you still keeping up with the shop” I asked and they both nodded, “well we’re glad you’re doing alright and yeah we are still keeping the shop open” George said and I smiled before they looked at Remus, “hey Remus, how are you doing. You look on edge” Fred asked and I looked up at Remus wondering if he’s alright, “yeah I guess you’re right, I am a little on edge about all of this especially about Genevieve being here” he said as he looked down at me with worry in his eyes, “believe us when we tell you this. She is the bravest, strongest, and smartest girl we’ve met and If anything bad were to happen to her, she would make sure that it would backfire on the person who cause it to happen in the first place” George told him and I had become a little flushed as he said that to Remus, “yeah mate he’s right, so don’t worry too much about this because she will be fine, we know she will” George said as the three of them looked down at me with smiles on their faces until we Hagrid talking and soon saw the door was opened and everyone soon walked into the house and made it to the living room, “you’re still Beautiful to me William” we heard Fluer say to him and I smiled to myself, “just remember Fluer, Bill takes steaks on the raw side now” Remus said as we walked into the room, “my Husband the joker” I said with a chuckle I said looking up at him, “by the way, wait til you hear the news. Remus and I-” I began to say until I was cut off by Moody, “alright, alright. We’ll have time for a cozy catch up later. Right now we’ve got to get the hell out of here. And soon” he said as Remus kissed my forehead before walking over to the window as I stood next to the twins, “Potter you’re underage, which means you’ve still got the trace on ya” Moody spoke up again, “what’s the trace” Harry asked and Mad-Eye answered, “if you sneeze the Ministry will know who wipes your nose. The point is we have to use those means of transport the Trace can’t detect. Brooms, Thestrals and the like. We go in pairs. That way, if anyone is out there waiting for us, and I reckon there will be, they won’t know which Harry Potter is the real one” he said to him and everyone else in the room, “the real one” Harry questioned, “I believe you’re familiar with this particular brew” Mad-Eye said taking out his flask, “wait for it” I whispered to Hermione and she giggled a little, “no, absolutely not” Harry began to say, “and thar she blows” I whispered again to her, “told you he’d take it well” she said to Mad-Eye, “no, if you think I’m gonna let everyone risk their lives for me” Harry said before Ron spoke up, “never done that before, have we” he questioned, “No. No, this is different. I mean taking that, becoming me. No” Harry said trying to change everyone’s minds, “well, none of us really fancy it mate” George said, “Imagine something went wrong, and we ended up a scrawny, specky git forever” Fred said and I chuckled a little, “and besides it’s too late to change everyone’s minds mate” I said to him before Mad-Eye spoke up, “she’s right and besides everyone he is of age Potter. They’ve all agreed to take the risk” he told Harry before someone cleared their throat, “technically, I’ve been coerced. Mundungus Fletcher Mr. Potter. Alway been a huge admirer” Mundungus said, “nip it Mundungus” Mad-Eye said before he continued, “alright Granger, as discussed” he said as Hermione pulled some hair off of Harry’s head and went to Mad-Eye and put it in the flask and felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see that it was Remus as he soon wrapped his arm around my waist, “for those of you who haven’t taken Polyjuice before, fair warning, it tastes like Goblin piss” he said giving the walking up to the twins first, “have a lot of experiences with that, do you Mad-Eye” Fred said and I chuckled a little, “just trying to defuse the tension” he spoke up again before he took a drink and passed it along to the rest as they had done the same thing and after a short while, everyone who drank the Polyjuice Potion and turned into Harry, “wow, we’re identical” the twins said, “you were even before you gits” I mentioned and they shrugged, “not yet you’re not” he said before dumping some clothes into a pile in the middle of the floor, “Haven’t gotten anything a bit more sporty have you” I heard one of them say before I looked over at Remus as I sat on the window sill, “Promise me you’ll be safe” he said to me and I caressed his cheek, “don’t worry I’ll be alright” I told him as he kissed the palm of my hand, “I know it’s just, I don’t want to lose you” he said and I kissed him gently, “don’t worry, you will never lose me besides, you can’t get rid of me that easily” I said and he chuckled a bit, “right then. We’ll be paring off. Each porter will have a protector. Mundungus stick tight to me, I want to keep an eye on ya. As for Harry” Mad-Eye spoke up, “yes” all of them said, “the real Harry, where the devil are ya anyway” Mad-Eye said, “here” he said raising his hand, “you’ll ride with Hagrid” ad-Eye told him before Hagrid had spoke up, “I brought you here 16 years ago when you were no bigger than a Bowtruckle. Seems only right that I should be the one to take you away now” He said, “yes, it’s all very touching. Let’s go” Mad-Eye said as we all walked out the door.
