Chapter Thirty Three

Genevieve’s P.O.V
Winter has finally arrived and it was also a weekend and I soon left the Castle to go to the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade until I heard someone calling my name and I turned around to see that it was Professor Slughorn, “oh why hello Professor, you off to Hogsmeade as well” I asked him and he nodded, “why yes I am, I’m headed to the Three Broomstick” he told me and I smiled, “so am I” I told him, “Brilliant, then maybe we can have a chit chat together than” he said and I smiled and we continued walking and talking until we saw Professor Flitwick walking by, “I was hoping to find you at the Three Broomsticks” Professor Slughorn said to him, “no, emergency Choir Practice I’m afraid Horace, hello Genevieve” Professor Flitwick said as he walked away and we did the same until we finally arrived at the Three Broomsticks. After being there for a little while, it didn’t take much for him to get tipsy and I soon saw Harry, Ron and Hermione walk in and I sighed to myself as I walked over to them with a Butterbear in hand, “hey guys, do you mind if I sit with you for a while” I said and they all nodded and we soon sat down at a table, “oh bloody hell” Ron spoke up, “what, what’s wrong I said, “turn around” Hermione said and I soon saw both Ginny and Dean together, “really Ron, you grossed out or something” I said with a smirk, “Honestly Ronald, their only holding hands and snogging” she said before turning around again and I chuckled, “oh come on it’s not that bad” I said smiling, “I'd like to leave” he said to us, “what” Hermione said, “why because your sister is kissing Dean” I said after her, “you can’t be serious” Hermione spoke up again, “that happens to be my sister” he said, “so, what if she saw you here snogging me, would you expect her to get up and leave” Hermione said to him, “she’s got a point Ron, we both know she wouldn’t as a matter of fact, she might even tease you about it" I said before Harry waved and Professor Slughorn soon spoke up from behind Hermione and I, “Harry my boy” he said and Harry stood up from his seat and shook his hand, “sir it’s wonderful to see you” Harry said to him, “and you” he said to Harry before he spoke up again, “so what brings you here” Harry asked, “oh, the Three Broomsticks and I go way back, further than I care to admit. I could remember when it was one Broomstick” Professor Slughorn said before spilling his drink on the table, “all hands on deck Granger and Genevieve. Listen my boy, in the old days I used to throw together on the occasion a supper party, I would select a student or Two, would you be game” he asked Harry, “I consider it an honour sir” Harry answered before Professor Slughorn turned to Hermione and I, “you’ll be welcome to Granger and Genevieve” he asked us, “I’d be delighted sir” she answered, “I’d be glad to go Professor” I answered after, “splendid, Look for my Owl and please call me Horace Genevieve now that we are coworkers. Good to see you Wallenby” he said before leaving, “what are you playing at” Ron asked Harry, “Dumbledore asked me to get to know him” Harry answered, “get to know him” Ron asked confused, “why” I asked, “I don’t know, it must be important and if it wasn’t Dumbledore wouldn’t ask” Harry said and I shrugged it off until Ron noticed something on Hermione and I laughed as he was telling her where it was before she whipped the foam from her lips and we continued to hang out and talk for a while longer before the four of us decided to leave and head back to the Castle and as we were walking down the pathway until we heard a scream and saw Katie Bell floating in the air, “what in the bloody hell is happening” I said as I grabbed the girl Katie was with and pulled her to us as we couldn’t do much of anything else until Katie soon landed on the ground and we soon heard Hagrid coming up from behind us, “don't get any closer, get back all of ya” he said as he went to pick the girl up, “do not touch that, except for the wrappings and Genevieve will be the one to bring it back. Do you understand” he said before walking away, “here, watch out” I said to Harry as I carefully grabbed the necklace and put it back in what it came in before roughly wrapping it back up as I left with it, “come on, Aunt Minerva might want to talk to you guys about this” I said and they soon followed.
