Chapter Thirty Two

Genevieve’s P.O.V
It was now the next day and I had just finished helping Professor Slughorn with a few things before I had bumped into Aunt Minerva, “oh there you are dear I was looking for you” she said, “well I’m here now, what is it Auntie everything alright” I asked and she nodded, “yes everyhting is fine I just need you to take Hagrids place to keep watch when some of the students of Gryffindor house is using the field today for Quidditch Tryouts since Hagrid has some other things that he needed to get done for classes” she said and I nodded, “alright, I’ll head there now then” I said and she smiled, “thank you dear” she said and I smiled and waved and headed out to the Quidditch field with a broom in hand and later saw Harry and Ginny standing next to one another while the rest were grabbing whatever they could as some were arguing with one another and soon stood next to Harry before shouting along with Ginny, “SHUT IT” we both said and everyone stopped what they were doing and payed attention, “thank’s” he said to us, “no problem” I said before he spoke up again, “alright um, now then remember just because you made the team last year does not guarantee a spot this year is that clear” he said and no one said anything, “good” he said and just before everyone had gotten into the air, I overheard Cormack talking to Ron as the quickly talked about what Positions they would be going for until he mentioned Hermione, “say um you think you can introduce me to your friend Granger, I wouldn’t mind getting on a first name basis if you know what I mean” he said and I laughed, “what’s so funny” he asked with a confused look on his face, “I’m laughing because you think you have a chance with Hermione, good luck with that buddy because she’s not interested and besides, I think Ron might have a better chance than you” I said before siling at Ron as he smiled as well before nodding and I soon walked away, “whatever” I heard Cormack say faintly and I smiled to myself before I got on my broom and floated next to Harry, “hey, I’m guessing either your Aunt or Dumbledore sent you” he asked and I nodded, “yep, it’s pretty much my job though to be honest, I’m just a helper but at least they pay me for it” I said with a chuckle and shouted to Ron, “YOU GOT THIS RON” I said before they started to play. 

    After Tryouts were over, I caught up with Hermione and told her what happened, “hey Genevieve, how do you like working here” she asked, "it’s nice, I really like it. How are your classes” I answered as we made out way back to the Castle, “there alright, I saw you talking with Cormak, what did you say to him” she asked, “I overheard him talking with Ron about wanting to be on a first name bases with you so I told him what I thought, I told him that he probably didn’t have a chance and that Ron might have a better chance with you then him” I told her and she chuckled a little, “well I appreciate that because I’m not interested in him to be honest” she said and I smiled a little, “I figured you didn’t” I said and we both laughed as we walked through the doors of the Castle, “well have a good rest of your day, see you later” I said as I waved, “see you later” she replied and we both went our separate ways and I decided to head to my quarters for a bit to see if I had gotten anything from Reus and saw that I did as there was a letter on the desk that I have and I smiled to myself as I sat down on the chair as I began to open the letter and soon began to read what it said.

Dear Genevieve

I am doing well darling and I hope you are as well back at Hogwarts and say hello to your Aunt for me if you don’t mind as well. Anyways I hope that you are staying safe and I hope Harry is as well and I also hope that is doing alright considering what had happened to Sirius last year. Be safe and be careful out there for me please considering what’s been going on lately with You-Know-Who having people join him and all, I love you my darling.

I finished reading the letter with a small smile at how protective he can be sometimes but I’m sure most men are like that and when I checked the time I soon headed out of my room to soon bump into Mr. Filch, “oh I’m sorry sir” I said before he spoke up, “that’s alright miss, I was looking for you anyways. I need your help with cleaning the Great Hall if that’s alright” he said and I nodded, “ya sure, I’m more than alright with that” I said and I followed him to the Great Hall and the both of us talked with one another, “you know out of all of the Students here, your one of nicer ones and it’s also nice to have a little help around here as well” he said as we swept the floors and soon began to mop them, “well I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only nice one around and to be honest I’m glad I took up this offer that Aunt Minerva because to be honest I didn’t want to leave here, it’s like this place is my second home to be honest” I said as I remembering the memories I had here with George and Fred, "I’m glad you didn’t leave for good either Miss” he said with a smile and we continued to clean up the place as we soon started to clean the tables for later when Dinner starts. We had finally finished cleaning the Great Hall and I helped him bring the cleaning supplies back to the closet they had belonged to until he soon spoke up, “thank you again for the help miss, I really appreciate it” he said and I smiled, “it's no problem and you can call me Genevieve if you’d like as well” I said and he nodded, “enjoy the rest of your day then Genevieve” he said with a light smile, “you to Mr. Filch” I said and we both went our separate ways for the rest of the day as I spent it wandering the halls making sure everyone was doing what they were supposed to until classes were over for the day. After dinner was over later that night, I headed to Aunt Minerva’s room to see how she was doing since I didn’t her much today besides Dinner and by the time I got there I soon knocked on the door, “come in” she said and I walked into the room to see her grading a few things, “Hey Auntie, how was your day” I asked as she looked up from the papers, “it was good, how about you dear and how did everyone do during tryouts today” she said and I sat down in front of her, “it was pretty good and everyone did alright, not very many injuries though which is good and most of them got on the team some of them being Ron, Ginny and I think Katie Bell and Cormac McLaggen” I said to her letting out a sigh as she out down her pencil, “well that's nice to hear, would you like a cup of tea dear” she said and I nodded, “yes please”  said as I got up to help her make it before we sat back down, “so what are you and Remus going to do about the wedding” she asked as I completely forgot about it, “I’m not sure yet and I completely forgot about it to be honest but now that I think about I might talk about it with Remus when I see him over the Holidays” I said with a sigh and we continued to talk for a while longer until we decided to head to bed for the night and after getting back to my room and got changed, I soon fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
