Chapter Thirty Nine

Genevie’s P.O.V
It as later the next day andI was just leaving Aunt Minerva’s Office after seeing how everything was with each other before I had bumped into Professor Dumbledore, “hey Professor, is everything alright” I asked and he nodded, “yes everything is fine, I just wanted to ask if you could go and get Harry for me and tell him to meet me on the Astronomy Tower if you please” he asked and I nodded, “yes of course” I said and he smiled a little and I knew something was off, “what’s wrong Professor, are you sure everything is alright” I asked making sure, “yes I’m alright Genevieve, I appreciate your concern” he answered and I nodded before walking away and looked for Harry. After sometime of walking around the Castle I had finally found Harry and I soon approached him as he was with Ron and Hermione, “hey guys, how was your day” I asked them, “it was alright, how about yours” Hermione said back, “it was alright thanks, Harry Professor Dumbledore asked me to look for you and to tell you that he wants you to meet him on the Astronomy Tower” I told him as he stood up and he nodded, “alright, I’ll see you guys later than” he said and the both of us headed to the Astronomy Tower. By the time we got there, we both heard someone talking and we just stood there on the steps  as we heard that it was both Professor Dumbeldore and Professor Snape, “I will not negotiate with you Severus. You agreed, nothing more to this curse” Dumbeldore said to Snape faintly until we heard footsteps coming towards us as it soon revealed it to be Snape as he stopped in front of us and said nothing before leaving and Harry and I just looked at each other before walking up the stairs again too soon seen Professor Dumbeldore standing there overlooking the view, “Professor” I said and he soon turned around to see the both of us standing there, “ah, Harry. Thank you Genevieve” he said and I nodded, “I know I’ve said this before already, but are you certain that everything’s alright” I asked again feeling worried, “at this point I’m not entirely sure” he said to me and I frowned before he was looking at Harry, “you need a shave my friend” he said to him and harry chuckled, “you know at times, I forget how much you’ve grown, how much either of you have grown. At times I still see the small boy from the cupboard. Forgive my mawkishness Harry. I’m an old man” he said to him, “you still look the same to me, to the both of us Sir” Harry said, “he’s not wrong. You haven’t changed a bit” I said with a small smile, “just like your mother’s, you’re unfailingly kind. A trait people never fail to undervalue I’m afraid.” he said to us as he soon began walking towards us, “the place to which we journey tonight is extremely dangerous. I promise you for the company of me and I stand by that promise. But there is one condition, you must obey every command I give you without  question.” he told Harry, “yes sir” he said to him, “if it’s dangerous, are you sure you should be doing this” I asked as they looked at me, “I’m sure of it, we have no choice Miss. Genevieve” Dumbeldore said to me and I nodded before he looked back at Harry, “you do understand what I’m saying. Should I tell you to hide, you hide. Should I tell you to run, you run. Should I tell you to abandon me and save yourself, you must do so.” he said and it was silent for a bit before he spoke up again, “your word Harry” he asked of him, “my word” Harry replied, “be careful, both of you” I said and they both looked at me, “don’t worry Genevieve, we will be alright. Take my arm arm” and before he did he spoke up, “Sir I thought you couldn’t Apparate within Hogwarts'' Harry mentioned, “well being me, it has its privileges. Genevieve if you wouldn’t mind staying here until we come back” Dumbeldore said and I nodded before Harry grabbed his arm and they soon Apparated to wherever they were going.

Throughout the time they were gone, all I could do was pace back and forth wondering what was happening and if they were going to be alright until they had finally Apparated back as Harry tried to hold Dumbledore up and I rushed to help, “what happened, are you alright Professor” I asked before Harry spoke up, “we need to get you to the Hospital Wing sir, to Madam Pomfrey” he said as we sat him down, “no, I’m alright. Severus, Severus is who I need. Tell him what happened, speak to no one else. Severus Harry and Genevieve” he said and both Harry and I did as he asked until we stopped to hear someone open and close a door, hide yourselves below Harry and Genevieve, do not speak with anybody without my permission. Whatever happens, you both must stay below. Harry, Genevieve, do as I say” he said as we heard the same thing as before, “trust me. Trust me” Dumbledore said and we both knew we couldn’t do anything as we both hid underneath after hearing someone walking up the stairs to soon see that it was Draco as he slowly walked above us with his wand out and pointed at Dumbledore, “good evening Draco. What brings you here on this fine Spring evening” Dumbledore asked, “who else is here, I heard you talking” Draco asked, “I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful. Have you been whispering to yourself Draco? Draco, you are no assassin.” Dumbledore said to him, “how do you know what I am? I’ve done things that would shock you” Draco said sounding upset, “oh like cursing Katie Bell and hoping that in return to bear a cursed necklace to me. Ike replacing a bottle of meev like one laced with poison, forgive me Draco I cannot help feeling these actions are so weak that they should Hardly contradict what could have been in them.” Dumbledore said to Draco as both Harry and I continued to watch, “he trusts me, I was chosen” he said as he showed something that was on his arm to Dumbledore, “he has the Dark Mark Harry and by the looks of it, it looks like he didn’t want this” I whispered to him as he just looked at me, “what do you mean, “I mean he’s probably being forced to do something he doesn’t want to” I whispered and made sure that neither of Draco or Dumbledore heard me as the both of them continued to talk, “I shall make it easier for you” Dumbledore said before Draco said a spell that sounded like he had disarmed him and both Harry and I took out our wands incase anything happened, “very good, very good.” he said as we heard the door open again, “you’re not alone. There are others. How” Dumbledor asked as I turned and pointed my wand elsewhere making sure no one saw us, “the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I’ve been mending it” as both Harry and I began to move, “let me guess, it has a sister, a twin. “Dumbledore said as they continued talking, “at Borgin and Burkes. They form a passage.” Malfoy said, “genius. Draco years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you” Dumbledore said “I don't want your help. Don’t you understand, I have to do this, I have to kill you, or he’s going to kill me” Draco said and I felt a tear slip down my cheek knowing he had no choice and we soon began to hear multiple people walking to where they were and soon heard the name of Bellatrix Lestrange.
