Gordon saw Harold the Helicopter flying in the sky the next morning while he was taking a morning stretch. He looked up in jealousy. He may have been the fastest engine on Sodor, but Harold could fly almost everywhere with little to no restrictions.
Gordon had enough. "Hey, Chopper! Want to race?" He challenged Harold.
Harold smiled down to him. "As you wish, Gordon!"
Gordon and Harold flew down the line, both having much fun and enjoying it, however, Gordon soon ran into trouble. A switch diverted him off the mainline and onto a different track.
"Strange..." Gordon muttered to himself. "Maybe it's just a shortcut."
But Gordon was wrong. Up ahead was a tunnel under construction. The workmen were blasting the tunnel with dynamite. They saw Gordon rapidly approaching.
Everyone tried to escape, but Gordon was there before most could make it out. He rammed into the wall with great force. Before the other workers knew it... BOOM!
