The next day Bucky received a text from Winnie while a conference call.
"Can you meet me for lunch today?"
"Yeah, Del Frisco okay?"
"I'll meet you there at 1230.."
"See you then! 😊"
Bucky came out of his office a few hours later, "I'm going to lunch Susan." he said
"Okay." Susan said
They met outside the restaurant, placed their orders.
"What's up? Normally you don't do this unless there is something you need talk to me about?" He said
"We love her." Winnie said
"Who?" He said
"Malani honey.." she said
"Oh..she's amazing." He said with a smile.
"You deserve this James, you deserve to be happy." She said
"I know mom, and right now I'm testing the waters with baby steps. She's been hurt too I don't want to scare her." He said
"Okay, well again we love her. Now tell me what else has been going on in your life." She said as they brought their food.
