The eye of the heavens spread its golden hues to the horizon as well as to the life beneath it. The tickling rays skimmed to my face as I yawned. After finishing Skyler’s sword, all the sleepless nights and the exhaustion of my body began to storm in my system.

As I yawned once again and while walking my way to a chair, drowsiness slowly caressed me, whispering and singing to my ears to close my eyes for a moment. My eyes rested on their own, simply acknowledging the still and peaceful environment.

But it immediately faded when I felt someone watching me, but my eyes were too tired to steal a glimpse.

Magnanakaw ba ‘to?

Anong trip— tangina. Maghahanap ba ng batang demigod ‘yon?

“To find someone strong like you—”

“Oh, please.

Their eyes reflected their desires, how much they were eager to contain the blood running in my veins. All I wanted was to rest after an exhausting work, but these dumbasses are too stupid to pick a day I am not this tired.

All of a sudden, someone knocked at the door, making their faces be more delighted.

“I’m just going to get my weapon,” Skyler answered. Nababadtrip ako sa isang ‘to. Napakatanga para mauto ng isang fury. ‘Yan ba ang namana mo kay Poseidon?!

I meaningfully looked at Skyler and secretly pointed the two furies behind him. I carefully stood up and walked my way towards the table, in which I placed his sword and gently handed it to him.

“This is your sword. I named this as the Mystical Water Sword,” I said.

A surprised yet ecstatic expression slowly plaster his face. He meticulously grasped the dragon hilt I’ve carved for a day and enjoyed the majestic blade of water.

“This is amazing…” he whispered. Ako ba naman ang gumawa? Syempre, malupit ‘yan.

Tangina. Inaantok na talaga ako. Hindi pa ba aalis ang mga ‘to?

And while looking at him, a devious idea suddenly popped into my mind. “Well… you gave me useful resources in order to make that—what I mean are the dragon ore and mystic water.”

Skyler suddenly grew confused until I noticed the male fury squinting his eyes at him. “Then you must be a powerful demigod to be able to go to Dragon Island and the Undersea Kingdom,” the fury said.

“Yes, he is.” I smirked. The furies’ menacing aura suddenly filled the air as I spoke again, “After all, he is the renowned Son of Poseidon.”

“Will you help me?”

“I’m just a simple blacksmith, dude.” I teased.

In just a glimpse, the furies finally shifted to their original form. I lightly pushed Skyler in their direction, making him groan at me.

My eyes watched in delight as he concentrated while wielding my new forge sword, just for him. The blade of water glimmered the hues of the sea as an amount of water began to dance around the blade.

One of the furies suddenly attacked Skyler. He gracefully avoided it and kicked the fury in the stomach. After making it lose its balance, he sliced through its wings, making it screech in pain. And another slice to its throat, making the fury vanished into specks of dull ashes.

I was too engrossed watching him that I forgot the other fury, it was flying towards me, when suddenly a sword swiftly followed it, making the fury be pierced in the chest. And just like the other one, it turned into ashes.

Alexis… gago ba ‘to?

“Alis d’yan!”

He turned his back, but it was already too late. The last fury immediately pierced her fangs in his neck, making Skyler slowly lose his consciousness.

And before I could move and help Skyler, an eerie and menacing chill suddenly enveloped the vicinity. A floor of ice slowly ran towards the direction of the fury until it was fully coated into a mass of ice.

“Skyler!” I heard Sue shouted.

I squinted my eyes at them. Phoenix and Aicelyn were waiting for the fury to finally break the spell Aicelyn had cast. On the other hand, Sue immediately tends to Skyler, who’s now into a deep slumber.

“You… you are—”

Phoenix stopped talking when I suddenly pierced through the golden fury’s heart. They all looked at me clueless and with a touch of surprise.

“That’s how you kill a fury,” I said.

“Wait… are you…”

“Finish your sentence, Stanfield.

I smiled at him. “Paxton idolized me? That’s funny…” because that kid is scary as shit.

“You are Garet, the King Vessel of Alchemy Kingdom.”
