Last time: Alec then slowly unbuttoned Magnus's shirt until his torso was exposed, revealing a wound identical to Dayanara's.
"They share a physic connection. The only way to heal Magnus is to heal Dayanara first." Came a female voice came from behind them.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Jace turned to face the female.
"I know you, your the Warlock that Valentine kidnapped. Dorothea Rollins, Clary never shut up about you. She called you part of her family." Jace said to her in a slightly surprised tone.
"How, in the hell did you escape?" He asked.
"It's Dot, and Dayanara helped me escape a few months before She and Magnus disappeared. I've been laying low for awhile. But I heard what happened to Dayanara and Magnus. So I just had to come." Dorothea explained.
"Dayanara, has been poisoned with a poison that was made to kill Warlocks. Why would you risk coming here?" Alec asked.
"Same reason you would they're my friends. Dayanara rescued me from Valentine and took me to Magnus to heal. Look I don't have to have direct contact them but I can help out with other things. The more hands helping out the faster they will heal." Dorothea explained.
Jace almost winced at the familiar but unwanted voice of the Seelie Queen
"She's not wrong, you know. Especially since things are going to get much more interesting. Magnus Bane will survive this, he does need to come to accept the feelings he has buried within. However, Dayanara never will if she does accept all of who she is the Angel and Seelie parts. The Seelie Queen said before setting her sights on Alec.
"Tell me, Shadowhunter Lightwood how would you feel if he loved someone other then you?" The Seelie Queen asked him.
"I would be fine with it, because I know that he loves me unconditionally as well." Alec answered without a second thought.
The Seelie Queen just looked at him.
"We shall see about that. Yes, we will indeed."
As she prepared to leave she placed a small silk bag on the dining table.
"More flower petals as I promise and remember my directions. Or there will great consequences. The Seelie Queen said in a warning as she disappeared as quickly as she appeared.
Dot noticed the full wine glass on the dresser, with flower petals at the bottom. Just as Alec went to pick it up.
"Is that meant for Magnus?" She asked.
Alec sighed silently as he made his way over to bed. "Yes, and apparently I have no choice, but to give and it to him. I just don't..." Alec trailed off as Dot finished what he was going to say.
"Trust, The Seelie Queen. I get it. You're right though you don't have a choice. Or this could turn out bad for Magnus and Dayanara. Alec handed the drink to Jace as he woke Magnus and helped him sit up.
"Hey Magnus I need you to sit up and drink this for me." Alec said taking the drink from Jace.
Magnus slowly opened his eyes to look at Alec.
"If it will help with this pain as well as Dayanara." He squeezed Alec's hand has he continued.
"If the Seelie Queen, is willing to help us. Then we have to take it. What other choice do we have?" Magnus asked looking into Alec's dark eyes.
Magnus took the glass from Alec and took a drink and then another until the glass was empty. He then lay back into Alec's arms.
"I think I'm going to rest for right now."
Somewhere in a dark forest in another plain of existence.
"Hello, is anyone else here."
Dayanara Bavol, found herself alone. In this forest of dark gnarled trees, a heavy fog rolled cross the trunks of the trees hiding their roots. It was cold here causing her to shiver. She then heard familiar voice calling out for an answer as well. It sounded far away at first.
"Hello, is anyone here."
Dayanara found herself running toward his voice. She skidded to a stop when she spotted his silhouette not far from her now.
"Magnus!" She cried out as she made her way to him.
"Magnus, we're not dead are we?" Dayanara couldn't help but ask.
He shook his head.
"No, I don't think so. I was just talking to Alec, and now I'm here." He said in return.
"We're in the vale then, the land between the living and the dead. But why are you here, Magnus? You didn't try to heal me did you?" Dayanara questioned Magnus.
"No, it turns out that this connects us in more the one way." Magnus said unbuttoning a few buttons and indicating the mark on the left side of his chest.
"So the mark that bounds us together, is making you feel everything I'm feeling." Dayanara walked a little bit away from Magnus. Stopping right before a path.
"So once again, I'm causing you and everyone around you more pain." She said as she wiped away a tear with back of her hand.
"You saved us Kitten, for that I am grateful. They were coming to take Max and kill me on the spot. It was you Nara that stopped that from happening. Now you're the only fighting for your life." Magnus said in a firm voice as he took hold of her shoulders and made her look at him.
Taking a breath Dayanara sighed as she nodded her head at Magnus.
"Ok, ok. So let's figure out how we get out of here and back to the waking world." Dayanara said as she started down the path in front of them.
"To find your way out of this realm. You must confess a truth that, you have been denying. The truth will set you free from here." Came a disembodied female voice.
"Ok, well I've been denying the truth of my Angel blood my whole life and now I have to accept the fact that there is Seelie blood in my veins no matter how small amount." Dayanara said into the wind.
"Though, that is a truth it is not the one you run from and scares you the most Dayanara Bavol."
"Well, I don't have anything that I've been denying. So where does that leave me?" Magnus said into the wind.
"You are still denying the truth. In fear of the one who has first claim of your heart." The disembodied voice said again.
Vines started to wrap themselves around his feet and legs.
"Magnus, just speak the truth you've been denying and stop trying to deny it. Or you'll be trapped here forever!" Dayanara, exclaimed in desperation.
Looking around them, Magnus blurted out his truth. "I have feelings for you! I've been denying the feeling because I have Alec and you have Jace." Before he understood what he was doing. Magnus had crossed the space between them and found himself kissing Dayanara.
Seconds after their lips touched. The disembodied female voice spoke.
"You have admitted that, which you have been denying. You are now free to leave."
Magnus pulled away from Dayanara at the voices words.
"What wait no! I'm not leaving, Nara here alone." Magnus exclaimed out loud.
"You are free, you have completed the task. She has not completed her task, she stays." The female voice said.
As if to prove the point vines started to wrap around Dayanara's feet and legs. Pulling her away from Magnus as he started to fade and disappear from the vale.
"No, Nara!" Magnus yelled as he tried to grab her. Only to have his hand grab on to nothing. Dayanara gave Magnus a small smile as she met his eyes.
"It's ok Magnus, I'll be ok." I'll see you soon." Dayanara said softly trying to reassure him. Before he disappeared completely. Leaving Dayanara alone in the misty vale.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Magnus gasped as he came to. A sharp pain made him clutch his side. He pulled back the covers to find a bandage there. When he peel the bandage away. There was a cut underneath it, a thick scab covering it.
Magnus, realized then that everything had happened had been real. A part of his soul had just returned from the vale.
Making himself get out of bed. He was perplexed how wobbly he was on his legs at first, but he had to make it to Dayanara. He had to know if she was healing or if it was getting worst. Making it into the hallway, he saw Alec standing in the doorway.
"Alec." Magnus called out.
Alec lifted his shoulder off the doorframe and turned as he heard Magnus say his name behind him.
"Magnus! You're awake what are you doing out of bed. You've been unconscious for 8 weeks you shouldn't be able to move." Alec said.
Magnus just brushed his words off.
"I need to see Dayanara right now. Right now, Alec!" Magnus all but yelled the last part at his boyfriend.
"Ok, ok I understand that you need to see Dayanara. I'll help you."
Alec said as he held his hands up in defense as he made his way over to help Magnus.
By now Jace had come to the door to see what was going on.
"Magnus, your awake." He said as Alec helped him into the bedroom.
"Yes, I'm awake. I'm touched that you care. Now, I need to see Dayanara's wound now Jace!" Magnus insisted as Alec helped him into the bedroom.
Helping Magnus sit down on the bed. Alec pulled back the bedsheet as Magnus reached for the bandage.
"What are you looking for Magnus?" Jace asked as he watched the High Warlock with his fiancée.
"This." Magnus said as he lifted his shirt to show him his healing wound.
"If Dayanara and I are some how connected through the physic connection of our mark then her wound should be healing too."
Gently pulling away the bandage over Dayanara's wound. Magnus was met with a half truth. Half of Dayanara's wound was healing and half of it was still festering and oozing with black tracks branching out away from it.
"Magnus, what the hell is going on here Jace asked.
"Dayanara and I were trapped in the vale between the living and the afterlife. Or, at least a part of our soul was. If she doesn't find her way out soon She's going to die, Jace." Magnus informed the blonde Shadowhunter.
Magnus turned his attention back to Dayanara.
"Nara, Kitten if you can hear me you need to find your truth so you can come back to us. We need you to wake up. Wake up now. Nara, Wake Up!"
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Dayanara continued to struggle against the vines as they continued to tighten around her body.
"To find your way out of this realm. You must confess a truth that, you have been denying. The truth will set you free from here." Came a disembodied female voice.
Dayanara continued to fight against the vines. When she suddenly heard Magnus's voice echoing around her.
"Nara, Kitten if you can hear me you need to find your truth...."
"So you can come back to us. We need you to wake up."
"Wake up now. Nara, Wake Up!"
Hearing his words Dayanara decided that she had to let go and tell what it was that she had truly been denying.
"You're right, I have been denying something. I am afraid that Iris Rouse will use me to hurt my friends again. I don't want to feel powerless again."
"You have passed the test. There is more to you then meets the eye. There are many more things to come that will test you and your friends. You are free to go. Remember that you have all you need inside."
As quick as the disembodied voice appeared to vanished. The vines unwrapped from around Dayanara. She then heard Magnus's voice again.
"Come back to us, Nara. Open your eyes and wake up. Wake up, Nara!" At the sound of Magnus's last plead. Dayanara felt pressure on her left hand as if someone was holding it. The same feeling was in her right hand too. She then realized that there was a light in front of her and the vale was starting to disappear around her.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
4 weeks later
Magnus sat on the left side of Dayanara's bed holding her hand. While Jace sat on her right side holding that hand.
"Come back to us, Nara. Open your eyes and wake up. Wake up, Nara!" Magnus pleaded with Dayanara.
"Do you really think she going to come back to us it's been three months." Jace asked doubt starting to coat his words.
Magnus looked at Jace for a moment.
"She helped me get back here to Alec. I have to believe she'll wake up. Because I can't bear to think of the alternative." A small sob lodge in his throat.
"Do...you guys...have to talk...so loud?" Came Dayanara's soft and raspy voice.
Magnus's and Jace's eyes shot up to look at Dayanara.
"Dayanara!" They both said in unison.
Jace got up and placed a gentle kiss to her cheek. Before going and gently checking on her wound. Through it wasn't all the way healed completely yet. The poison seemed to have finally been neutralized.
"Looks like the magic slurry we were giving you and Magnus helped. The Seelie Queen said it could take a while for it to work. Magnus even agreed to drink it even after he woke up." Jace said as he smiled softly at Dayanara.
Dayanara looked at both Jace and Magnus.
"Wait,The Seelie Queen helped us? What did she want in return?" Dayanara questioned.
"She said she would be needing something from you and Magnus in return. The Seelie Queen, didn't say what it was she needed. Just that she would come for it when the time was right." Jace explained.
"None, of you are worried about what that might mean?" Dayanara asked.
"With a lot of persuading on my part. We all agreed to worry about it when the time comes. Right now we just have to make sure your taken care of and have your magick back." Magnus said as he confessed their plan.
A small part of Dayanara was worried, about what The Seelie Queen of all people would want her and Magnus to help her with. Then there was Dayanara's looming fear of Isis Rouse and her blood power she held over her, Jace and Magnus.(A/N: So sorry for the late update. I was working on a few other things.
