DISCLAIMER: In S3 EP2, during Levi's fight with Kenny but before Levi takes shelter in the pub, I am adding in one extra scene, which you will read about below.

I looked up at the grand wall that stood before me. Beyond that wall was Stohess, the place where my Miche was going to take me.

I was still puzzled as to why Erwin wanted me to come to Stohess, yet I was grateful this opportunity came. Maybe now I could find my family.

I took my horse and wagon to the stables that stayed outside the wall, giving the stableman a gold coin as payment. I could only assume that was enough; He didn't give too much fuss, so I could only assume so.

As I walked through the gates of Stohess, I noticed there was a lot less Garrison soilders and more MPs. For some reason, that made me feel uneasy.

I kept my small bag of gold coins in my apron pocket, hearing them jingle as I walked, trying my best to find the inn with Erwin's map.

There were a lot more boulsterous sounds of voices than there were in Trost and even Karanes. As I walked, I looked around at all the people, noticing I was severely underdressed.

Most women wore such fancy dresses I could only dream about while the men adorned tailored suits. Even the children's clothes were quite elegant.

And here I was, in a grey dirndl and purple apron. Well, that purple apron made me stand out. There wasn't anybody that I saw who was wearing the color purple.

Following Erwin's map, I strolled along the cobblestone streets, walking by a few interesting landmarks, like the once tall tower that now seemed to be crushed to boulders.

Interesting. I wondered how that happened.

As I drew closer to the inn, I heard the commotion of an outdoor market.

My kind of place.

Yet as I peered at each stands array of goods, I didn't dare do my usual bit of stealing whatever I liked. For some odd reason, I had an uneasy feeling about Stohess all together.

So instead of stealing the fancy goods I knew I'd never see again, I just looked. For that moment, a least.

I came across a stand, piles of books neatly on top of it. Each pile was labeled as such: history of the walls, cookbooks, sketchbooks, journals.

Journals? I didn't know what a journal was.

I picked up the leather bound book, untying the leather cord around the cover and skimmed through it. Blank pages. I guess that meant who ever bought the journal wrote their own story.

I decided to purchase the journal, maybe writing could help me pass the time here. I did have two weeks to stay, at least from what Erwin told me.

It was strange purchasing something. For years I was so use to just taking what I wanted. Now, here I was giving someone coins in exchange for an empty book.

Still didn't feel right to me.

To be honest, the whole town of Stohess didn't feel right to me. It almost felt as every move I made was being watched, but by someone who I couldn't see.

I tried my best to not pay so close attention to that uneasy feeling by distracting myself with the stands: each one unique than what I had seen before.

The stands carried things such as fabrics that looked so soft yet I dared not touched, yarn, candles and leather goods.

The snacks and other street vendors were quite tempting, yet I did do my best to stay away. The pies didn't tempt me much, since I made them for Levi and Erwin quite often.
