Chapter Twenty Two

It had been a couple of days since I had seen Hange's Executioner of Death or whatever they called it.

Everyone was quit busy making preparations for the upcoming misson. From what Erwin had told me, they planned on taking back Shiganshina. I had to say, I was quite hopeful. Maybe then I could find some of my mother's family, if they ever moved back. I never really knew my mother's family; hopefully Engel wasn't a too popular last name.

I had heard from Hange that the higher ranks were planning a huge meat based feast for the Scouts: something they rarely, if ever, got to eat. I tried to keep myself busy trying my best to keep Sasha away from the kitchen, which was like a full time babysitting job.

Thankfully I still had time to see Erwin to serve him afternoon tea. I enjoyed his company, and its seems since day one, he's enjoyed mine.

I opened the doors to his office, Erwin greeting me with a smile.

"There's my favorite person" Erwin sighed as if I was a breath of fresh air, making me feel almost embarrassed with excitement

"Good morning, mi cariño" I smiled, walking to Erwin's desk and set his tray of tea upon it

"What does that word mean, my dear" Erwin asked as he took my hand and kissed it "I love it"

"I think it means 'honey'" I pondered, not really knowing what that word was or what language as I poured Erwin's tea "my father use to call my mother that. I think it may be an old form of Eldian maybe"

Erwin stood up, taking his tea in his hand while motioning me to come close to him near the window.

"It's not Eldian" Erwin chuckled "I've never heard that language before but it's absolutely beautiful"

"Interesting" I mumbled, pulling the curtains back and tying them to stay open then walked back to Erwin's side as we stared out the window towards the sun's direction "He also said a few words to us. But when he and my LoLu would talk, they would speak like that"

"Whatever it is, it's beautiful" Erwin looked down at me and smiled "Of course, it could be just because a beautiful woman is speaking it to me"

"Oh you" I giggled, gently pushing him away

"I must confess, my dear" Erwin whispered, setting his teacup on his desk before taking my hand "I've found myself day dreaming of our wedding from time to time" he chuckled "Childish I know"

"Not at all" I smiled "I find it quite romantic actually"

Erwin lifted my hand, kissing my third finger on my left hand, gently rubbing that finger with his thumb afterwards.

"I've also been planning" I confessed "I know you said I should wait until after you get back from Shiganshina but I can't help it"

"Plan away, my dear" Erwin sighed as he kissed my forehead "tell me: what have you been planning?"

I did try my hardest to stop planning so far ahead since Erwin did say we'd have to wait until after his misson to plan anything, so I didn't have too much on my mental list.

But thankfully, I already had the perfect dress in mind. I could definitely tell Erwin about that.

"There was a dress I saw" I finally responded, thinking of that little shop "I really loved it"
