I don't know how it got to this situation, but somehow... I was saved by an unexpected angel, and she sitting right in front of me.

I can't help but stare, I know I'm not usually like this but the thought of this person being so kind and giving me as much comfort as she can... hits differently.

"I'm Han Jihyo," she smiled at me with so much warmth whilst sipping on her coffee.

Coffee this late? She's interesting.

"Ah... yeah, thanks for uh... showing concern...?"

Jihyo chuckled, "Shall we talk about your problems?"

"Erm, I don't know... you're just a stranger," I averted my gaze and looked down the floor. "If you don't feel anything for me, just leave me alone. I don't want your tepid kindness."

"No this is my true feelings! I'm truly worried!" Jihyo sighed, "As I said... think of me as a friend."

"Uhuh," I hummed in disinterest.

"You know, getting into trouble is not a bad thing... then getting scolded like this with a stranger like me." Jihyo pursed her lips, "People like me are just proof that someone is watching you."

I rests my chin on my palm and looked at the girl in front of me, "People... need to be needed by someone in order to live. If a person isn't needed, they're worthless. That's me."

"I need you, how about that?"

I scoffed, "You're a stranger."

"And so are you to me."

"Huh, fair enough."

Jihyo smiled, "What's your name?"

"Do I need to answer that...?"

Jihyo lightly slammed the table and pouted, "Of course!"

I slightly smiled at her cute gesture, "Son Y/N."

Jihyo returned my smile, "Okay Son Y/N... would you mind telling me why were you trying to end yourself?"

I sighed, "Why are you doing this?"

"Hmm... because I don't want to make the same mistake I did." Jihyo chuckled nervously, "I've witnessed a good friend of mine die in front of me... and it caused a lot of people sorrow."

"Friends huh?" I huffed, "Just what is a friend anyway? When do people start seeing each other as friends? When they first talk alone? When they exchange contact information? When they take a photo together?"

Jihyo takes the last sip of her coffee, "That depends~ Though personally, I think we're friends now!" she noticed my doubted expression. "Well at least for me."

"Oookaayy? This still doesn't change the fact that-"

"Y/N have you thought about what you're doing? Don't you have close relatives? Friends?"

"Hah?"

"What do you think they'll feel if you suddenly disappeared? I bet they'll miss you, or would even cry their lungs out if they found out you ended yourself." Jihyo puts her hand over mine, "People have many things pent up inside of themselves—

To them, you are more valuable than any jewel. Would you be at ease if you left your most treasured valuable outside the bounds of your own home? Furthermore, disappear? A treasure is something you keep with you at all times. It is common sense."

I just stared at this person in front of me for a prolonged time as the silence gradually immersed us, she sure is good with her choice of words.

Too bad everything I'm trying to avoid kept on chasing me.
