22: From the Start

It's 6 a.m, and I'm currently having breakfast with my friends inside a cafe that's not too far from the company.

They've been talking about this new trainee nonstop and all I could do was listen since I had no idea about this nor where this information come from... They're amazing for getting news within the company so quickly.

"I heard that she's taller than Jimin unnie," Hyewon takes a sip of her coffee.

"Ah, someone that can finally beat her huh?" Soojin chuckled.

Jimin rolled her eyes, "She can't be that tall." she emphasized, making everyone on the table chuckle.

"I think I saw her singing inside the practice room in like 1 a.m, I guess she prefers being alone." Soeun takes a bite of her toast, "She's mysterious... I like it! Her voice... it's so enchanting!"

Soojin nodded her head in agreement. "I heard her rapping, she's amazing at it. If I did such a thing, I think my tongue would get tangled."

Jaehee takes a bite of her bacon, "I heard that she's already famous. So famous that she probably didn't even need to become a trainee, let alone her talent."

"What do you mean?" I asked with curiosity.

Jaehee swallowed her food, "This trainee... everyone's been blabbering about her to the point some of them even stalked her social media, Son Y/N was it? I think that's her name."

Son... Y/N...?

I furrowed my brows at the name since it sounded familiar, I think... we've met before.

I'm just not sure where.

"Son Y/N, a famous streamer in the states. She's the main vocalist of a streamer-based group called Tier5, she never announced to her fans that she'll be a trainee and leave some of her things behind. I'm guessing that PlayM is planning to make her a hidden trainee," Jaehee explained.

"Wow, she's probably that golden that the company had to hide her." Jimin takes the last sip of her coffee, "Speaking of this new trainee... Where the hell is Jiyoon?"

"Oh, her?" Souen laughed, "I saw her getting close to that new trainee and it seems like the trainee took a liking."

Everyone continued to talk about the trainee that just left me in wonder.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized who this person was.

It's that girl I met by the bridge...

Three hours have passed and we're now preparing for an upcoming evaluation. Everyone in the practice room was focused, I could seriously feel the heavy tension and it's suffocating.

So I quietly walked outside the room, only to unexpectedly bump into someone.

I was just about to fall on the floor, well not until I felt arms that swiftly wrapped around me that prevented me from falling.

Due to fear, I had my eyes shut tightly.

"You... alright?"

I quickly opened my eyes and saw a tall girl who's holding me firmly. I couldn't even comprehend my thoughts since we were only an inch away, and the moment we exchanged eyes.
