24: Secret

"We're dating."

I and Jihyo said in unison, causing everyone to stop whatever they were doing and turn their heads to look at us.

Silence descended within the room, I could tell that everyone was shocked by the revelation we just spilled out.

Well, except Jiyoon?

Somehow, she's giving me this wide smile that screamed "Finally!"

She was the first one to break the silence as she approached me and pulled me in for a hug, patting my back as if she's the one who had victory.

This was understandable.

After all, she's the only person who knew everything about me from the start and also the one who's been helping with it.

"Finally! My efforts of psyching you up paid off!" 

"And I'm happy that you were there to help me," I smiled, returning the hug.

Eventually, everyone released huge smiles and approached the two of us to give a group hug— they've been supportive from the very beginning, and I couldn't help but giggle at this happily.

A few seconds later, everyone backed away.

"I'm glad that you told us about this," Soojin smiled.

"Well, confusing everyone is certainly bad... we didn't want that, and so ended up telling you guys."

I explained while Jihyo nodded her head in agreement.

"Well, are you two going to tell the company about this or what?" Jimin asked.

I and Jihyo looked at each other with a subtle nod— we already talked about this and decided not to tell anyone else but the members.

We're going to keep it a secret, for now.

We may be official now, but that doesn't change the fact that our careers are in line, as well as the members. Of course, we'd like to avoid controversies as much as possible.

Or else, hate may arise.

That'll surely affect the whole group.

"We'll keep it a secret, we'd like to focus on our careers first... love can wait," Jihyo answered.

I nodded my head, "Maybe we'll reveal everything once the dating ban disappears, depending on the situation."

Jaehee chuckled, "Then I guess we won't be doing any room exchanges anymore huh?" she teased.

Jihyo lowered her head to gaze at the floor, somewhat hiding her expressions, blushing. As soon as I noticed this, I squeezed her shoulder and chuckled.

How cute.

"How about you two unnies?" Hyewon suddenly questioned, tilting her head towards the two girls who seemed to be looking at me and Jihyo in awe.

Soojin and Soeun flinched, averting their gazes in the opposite direction. Raising my brows, I couldn't help but notice the weird tension that separated the two.

I always sensed something weird about the two but never really looked further since I respected their privacy— are they a thing too?

 "Huh, you noticed it too?" I laughed.

"Yeah!" Hyewon exclaimed, "They're touchy with each other lately, plus the way they look at each other is just suspicious."

"Wait, Soojin and Soeun are a thing?!" Jiyoon held her head in shock.
