Chapter 18 - The Surprised Parents

SOPHIA POV

Its weekend and it's my training day so I head to my bathroom and get ready. I was still searching what to wear when I heard knock on my door.

"Sophia, can we talk to you for a while?" Mom called out by the door.

"One minute Mom!" I dressed up fast as I can.

I wear whatever my hand gets and put it on without even thinking. I opened the door and my parents settled on my bed.

"Everything okay with the pack?" I initiated.

"Remember I used to tell you about your Granny friend?" Dad jogged my memory lane.

"She is the one that helped us and our pack?" I replied unsure.

"Yeah. We got a call from her daughter Sylvia last night. She passed away two days ago sweetheart." Mom continued seeing my Dad taking the news hardly.

"Oh my! That is such devastating news." I swallowed a lump on my throat.

"Today is her funeral service; I want us all to go as a sign of gratitude and respect. Dehlia was such a great family friend to us." Dad words filled with sadness.

"Of course we will. How about Meriel is she coming?" I complied.

"Your sister will be arriving in twenty minutes so I want you to get ready." Mom eyed at my clothes.

Just then I saw I was wearing a night gown and socks of course it isn't appropriate for the funeral. After they left I changed to a plain white lacy dress paired up with black stilettoes and purse. Ten minutes top I'm all done with minimal make up. Soon I'm on the ground floor of the house I saw my sister.

"Dad, can I go with Meriel and Richard please?" I used my best puppy eyes.

"Sophia, don't be such a baby. You will ride with us not with them. Meriel and Richard will string along they need to buy flowers." Mom scolded me.

"It's okay Hunny. She can go with them besides I already gave Richard the directions to get there. You know she will just bug us all the way if we didn't let her be." Dad side me.

"You always give in to them, fine! Just take the white daffodils and do not be late." Mom instructed us.

"Hey sis! Hey Ric! How are you and the hot bun in there?" I greeted them while hugging Meriel's tummy.

"Our little peanut here is still growing but my cravings for food are getting worse. I'm easily more tired and turning like a buffalo." She whined that only made me giggled.

"Well you didn't complain when you were mating Richard." I teased and her cheeks turned red.

"I keep telling her it doesn't matter to me. She is my mate and the mother of my pup." Richard butted in unlocking the car doors.

"Okay enough talking let's leave now. We don't wanna have an earful from Mom for being late plus I'm getting tired standing." Meriel got in the car first.

The ride was so pleasant and I'm happy I'm able to bond with my sister. After we dropped by at the flower shop we head the road again. About half hour my wolf started to get uneasy.

'Ruby, what is it?' I couldn't help but wonder.

'Don't you realize we crossed the border of Blue Crest Moon pack.' She reacted.

Before Ruby can talk again my sister nudged my shoulder. "Sophia, are you okay? You space out in a minute?" Meriel waved her hand in front of me.

"Hmm... yeah I'm okay." I respond in whisper.

"Are you sure?" She clarified while I focused to Richard.

"Ric, why are we here at Blue Crest?" I noticed our current location.

"Silly you! That's where the service is." He chuckled.

I was like OMG!! I swear my heart rate starts to beat like ten times than normal ones.

"Meriel... holy cheese cake! My mate Damien is the Alpha of this pack." I exclaimed and she copied me.

'Weeee!! We can see our mate!!' Ruby howled almost want to come out soon as she heard his name.

'Ruby tone it down, you sounds crazy. Remember we still need to cross the patrolling guards.' I reminded and she sulked again.

"If he is the Alpha meaning he could be the grandson of Dehlia?" My sister pointed out.

"Why didn't I think of that?" I mentally slapped my head.

My sister could be right since I haven't seen Damien since Thursday after lunch.

"Both of you should stop speculating now." Richard advised when the patrolling guards stop us for a Moment.

"State your pack name and please write it on our list." The guard handed us a paper.

"We are from Nightshade Moon pack. They are the daughters of Alpha Williams." Richard announced.

"Okay you may pass. Alpha Lewis and her sister are expecting you." The guard's toll opened up.

I think he mindlinked them because after two minutes he let us through. After passing the guards I suddenly smelled my mate scent. We reached the driveway and soon I saw Damien standing in his all black suit. Oh God! If looks could kill I'm already in heaven. He is such a good sight to see and I just want to kiss him so badly.

"You better close your mouth sis before catching a fly. But I won't blame you he is edible to eat." Meriel taunted that earned growls from Richard and I.

"Will you calm your wolves down I'm just testing Sophia since that is her mate." She rolled her eyes and Richard relaxed.

Before I could protest Damien opened the car door for me and kissed me hard. I was caught off guard but soon responded back. I forgot the people around especially my parents soon as I remember it I pulled back. My parents are standing and dad gave his killing eyes towards Damien.
