"So, (Y/n), how's it going with Sirius?" Lily asked you one evening while you were both chilling on the couches by the common room fire.
You smiled, "Great. He's perfect."
She smiled, "You are so whipped."
Shrugging, you turned to pin her with a stare, "How about you and my brother? I know you feel the same way he does, you just won't admit it."
She sighed, "I know, but he keeps just asking me out in random places. It's never meaningful. I don't want us to start off like that."
You frowned, "Hm... I'll talk to him. Don't worry, I won't tell him how you feel, I'll just suggest he try a different tactic."
She smiled at you gratefully, "Thanks, (Y/n). You're the best."
"She is, isn't she?" a voice said behind you making you smile.
"Hey, Sirius," you said, turning your head to see him walking towards the two of you.
He pecked you on the lips as he passed and sat down next to you, throwing his arm over your shoulders and tucking you into his side.
The smoothness of the whole thing showed just how comfortable you two had gotten around each other.
"What did you do this time to earn that complement?" he asked, smiling warmly at you.
"I said I would try to talk some sense into James for Lily here. Get him to try to be more romantic when he asks her."
Sirius smirked at the girl beside you, "Finally return his feelings now, Evans?" Lily blushed, "(Y/n), tell your boyfriend to stop smirking like that."
"Sirius, behave," you said, pointing a finger at him.
He pouted playfully, "Sorry."

Today was the day James had planned to ask Lily out. It had just stopped snowing, so he had asked her to walk with him on the grounds.
You and Sirius were up in the castle, watching them through one of the windows.
"Oh! There he goes! He's holding her hands! Aw!" you exclaimed, watching them eagerly.
Suddenly you felt something wet on the side of your nose.
"Did you just... lick me?" you asked, looking at Sirius in bemusement.
He smirked, "Got you to look at me didn't I?"
You frowned, "For wha-"
He cut you off with a deep, passionate kiss. You melted, gripping his jacket and kissing him back with just as much passion.
The two of you were so wrapped up in each other that you didn't notice the couple doing the exact same thing outside in the snow.
