Chapter Fourteen

Avery's POV
"Get up" someone yelled and I fell on the bed and face first into the hardwood floors. "Oops" Nika giggled when I got up and rubbed my face with was most likely red. "I'll be down stairs" she ran out the door and I went to shower. After showering I threw on some overall shorts with a black tip under neath. And flip flops.

Going into the kitchen I was horrified at what I saw. Nika and Landon kissing 'good job brother' I commented making him jump and stare at me. "Avery this is my mate Nika" he told me hugged her waist. "Avery we just found out" Nika promised me and I nodded and hugged her.

I was happy for him, at least on of us could have a mate and be happy. 'Im going for a walk' I told Landon and he nodded. I wondered aimlessly through the woods until I came to a canyon with waterfall. Grinning I stripped.

I was in a mint blue VS bikini the side of my waist had three strings and well as the straps for my top. Leaving my clothes I went to the water fall which had a flat rock without water and stood. I looked over the edge and gulped. A long way down.

Turning my back I took a tiny step back so my heels were hanging off. The adrenaline was rushing through me making my heart pound in my chest. Grinning I braced myself and did a backflip off the cliff.

"AVERY" Calvin's and Jacob's voice yelled and their heads peeked over the cliff a I fell. Making a splash I hit the clear water and swam until I needed air. I swam upward just as two big splashes landed next to me I calmly did back strokes around the mini lake.

"What were you thinking!" Clavin screamed "you could have died" Jacob yelled at me, swimming over to them I pulled them into a hug. "Jesus Avery, you gonna get killed" Calvin muttered. "Come on, let's get you home" Jacob muttered and we swam to shore.

As gust of wind hit me and I was tired, using my fire I dried myself and leaned against the tree my eyes dropping. "Sleep Avery" Jacob cooed in my ear and picked me up I nodded and leaned my head against his muscled shoulder.

Eros's POV
I was sitting in my office when I burst of adrenaline hit me nit sent my heart pounding and my blood rushing. Then it was gone and I was left confused. Putting my pen down and turned around and picked the book off my shelf. Mates.

Often when mates are close or are true mates one mate will feel what the other is feeling.

Bingo. Either my mate is close or she is my true mate. Smirking I sat back in my chair. 'Mate, mate, mate,mate, mate' Alexander chanted in my head. I now griped the book tightly in my hands he was fighting for control.

'Soon' I hissed at him 'now!' he barked at me again trying to gain control. I put a wall up and focused on my duties as Alpha. But I wasn't into it, I kept seeing those light brown eyes staring back at me.

I wanted to feel her lips on mine.

I craved to touch her skin.

I needed to hold her close and smell her.

I imagined my mark resting in between her neck and shoulder.

I need my mate.
