Maya's POV
"no. what happened Steph?"
"They beat me up. I played dead as you told me to before. They're gone, they ran away"
"Ok, we're coming, can you tell me where exactly on the road you are?"
"I'm right at the end on the corner"
"Ok, I'm 1 minute away Steph, hang on"
"Mom, are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, get Stephanie"
As soon as we pull up to the road, I see her laying on the floor. I run out, quickly picking her up and putting her in the back of the car, not wanting to be there any longer than needed
"Stephanie, are you ok"
"I'm fine, just sore, go get mom quickly, it's probably where they're going"
"Mom, you still there?"
"Yeah, I'm here, hurry"
"I'm coming, I'm a minute away, hang on"
We pull up to the park where she runs over and gets in, carina immediately drives off, not knowing who is there and we race back home. My mum and sister are in the back trying to process what just happened as we pulled up.
My mum gets out of the car easily as I go over and help Stephanie, we get inside and see Amelia and kai sitting on the sofa who immediately jump up at the sound.
"Oh my god you're ok," Amelia says letting out a breath and falling back onto the sofa.
My mum and sister sit down silently as I tell Amelia and kai what happened as they only saw us leaving quickly.
"Are you all ok?" kai asks
"Yeah, I think so," Stephanie says
"Are you 3 ok?" I ask noticing ava isn't here
"we're ok but I don't know about ava," Amelia said
"I tried to go in there, but she told me to leave" she added
"Ava?" my mum asked
"that's a long story, I'll tell you later," I say before carina and I get up to go see her.
We open the door and see her lying in the middle of our bed staring at the ceiling.
"Go away Amelia" she whispered
"It's us, are you ok," I said making her sit up quickly
"Oh my god, you're, ok?" she said sighing
"we're ok Ava," I say noticing how panicked she is
We go and sit down on the bed on either side of her as she stares at the ceiling again
"I didn't mean to scare you" I whisper
"I know, but I was scared of losing you twice in one day," she said as her voice broke
"Come here baby," I say with my arms out
She lays with her head on my chest and her arms around me as carina rubs up and down her back slowly
"it's ok" I whisper
"don't leave me," she says as I feel tears landing on my shirt
"we're here,"
