Façade

After watching the sunrise, they went their separate ways and got ready for work. They agreed that they will not arrive together, as Neil thought about picking her up, but Claire said not to, as it might make them seem suspicious.

Neil arrived about half an hour before Claire did. He was sitting in the residents' lounge, drinking his coffee and doing paperwork.
Dr. Reznick came in.
"Morning." she said.
He nodded.
"Good morning. You are quite early. How are the hands?"

"I thought I should be early. You know. Early bird catches the worm." she said.

He nods.

"Umm... They're better." she added.
"You're still off surgeries, Reznick. Don't try to convince me otherwise." he said.

She sulked.
"Fine."
She decides to take a peek and see what the cases are for today.
Neil closes it.
"Uh-uh. Wait till everyone else gets here."
She rolled her eyes and sat down.

Shaun arrives next. "Good morning."
Neil replied: " Good morning, Shaun."
Morgan also greeted him.
"Did you ask her?"

Neil looked at her and then at Shaun, confused.

"No." said Shaun.

"You gonna have to find time. And don't ask her through text." said Morgan.

"Why?" asked Shaun.

"Who asks someone on a first date on the phone?" said Morgan.
"I didn't have to. She asked and I said yes."

Morgan's eyes lit up.
"Okay. So where did you go? What did you do?" she asked.

"We watched a movie." he said.

"That is it?" Morgan asked, tilting her head.

"Well, good for you, Shaun." Neil said.

Just then, Dr Park came in.

"Morning. What did I miss?" he asked.

"Dr. Murphy scored a date." said Neil.

"Hey! Nice." he said, patting Shaun on the back.

"We watched a movie and then...
" he tried to explain.

"Good morning." Claire greeted, as she entered, not realising that she had interrupted Shaun.

"Morning." Neil said to her.
"Morning." said Morgan.
She turned back to Shaun.
"Yeah, okay so then what happened?"

Dr. Park tells Claire that Shaun went on a date so now he is explaining what happened.

"You went on a date? I am glad, Shaun." she said.

"Dr. Browne, stop interrupting." Shaun said.

Claire said, eyes widening: "Sorry."

"And thank you. I am glad too." Shaun added.

Claire took a seat. He continued with the story and everyone else listened.

"You went to dinner after the movie. That is nice." Claire said.

"But then she wanted to go to karaoke, and I was feeling tired. So I explained, but she really wanted to go." Shaun said.

"So? Did you go?" Morgan asked.

"No. We went home."

"That is it?" Morgan asked, shocked. "No goodnight kiss? No 'thanks, I had an amazing time?'," she added.

"She just said thanks for tonight." Shaun said.

"She still said thanks, Morgan." Alex said.

Neil looked at his watch. "We got to go, but before we do..."
He hands them their cases.
"Park, Browne, you're with Dr. Lim. Reznick and Murphy, you're with me."
