GABRIEL was aware that she was lurking around the aisles to look at him from afar. Not that he was complaining when his supposed mate, Bianca as he read on her nametag, was looking at her with her wide amber eyes. He felt the rush of it and Gabriel could not think about anything else.

Get a grip, will you? He scolded himself as he was trying to make sure that he did not appear to be aware of Bianca around him. His gut was punching against his stomach as his mind was filled with a lot of images that might make her run away from him. He gripped the meat that was in his hand before almost dropping it when someone tapped on his shoulder.

Gabriel turned around to see the employee with rust-colored hair and amber eyes looking at him, smiling shyly as if she was afraid to be near him. Gabriel smiled back before putting the meat inside the freezer that was in front of him.

"Yes?" he asked before he was looking at her. Bianca was biting her lower lips as her fingers were fidgeting. Gabriel wanted to groan and replaced her teeth with his mouth on her lips. Damn it, this woman knew how to seduce me right off the bat, he thought before settling his feelings inside him and smiling at her.

"Are you serious about making amend back then? When I bumped into you?" she said meekly as Gabriel was smiling at her.

"Why would you think I bluff about something that I want to do?" he asked before Bianca looked around. She seemed nervous but she did not disclose what she was nervous about. Gabriel was about to find out about that.

"Well...it's been a while since anyone was interested in going out with me. Not that I don't go out, it just...they would always be in disasters when I was going out with someone," she said before Gabriel arched his eyebrow. Bianca sighed.

"They will get into trouble if they go out with me. And I don't want that for you, considering that you're a handsome stranger who would likely have anyone in the world if he chooses to. But why would you want me?" she blurted out before Bianca put her hand to her mouth. Gabriel blinked before he chuckled softly at her declaration.

"Now, I don't think you would put my hope up and then drag it down like that," he said before Bianca was blurting out an apology. Gabriel laughed.

"I was joking. I would not be afraid if anything was to happen while we were on a date. I am a man and I was supposed to protect the fairer sex," he said before Bianca tilted her head. She stared at him.

"What?" Gabriel asked her before her amber eyes blinked and she shook her head.

"Nothing," she said before Gabriel stepped forward. She did not back away. That's a good sign, he thought as he was leaning forward to sniff her fresh honeysuckle scent.

"It always means something when a woman says nothing," he teased before Bianca was looking at his face. Then, she smiled timidly. Gabriel's heart soared at the sight.

Such a beautiful smile, he thought before Bianca was biting her lower lips again.

"They would usually jump on me after the date and they would get arrested for sexual harassment. I hope you will not be doing that later if I agree to go out with you for a date," her amber eyes said as she was looking at him. Gabriel smiled before he stepped back.

"So you've agreed to a date then?" he asked before Bianca bit her lips and nodded. "I will see you tomorrow then, after your shift?" he asked before Bianca was frowning at him.

"What?" he asked.

"My shift ends at 10 PM. I'm not sure if we can go somewhere that is still open—"

"Don't worry about that. Leave that detail to me and you just wait for me tomorrow. I'll pick you up," Gabriel said as he was about to move away. Bianca gripped his arm and his blood boiled at a single touch.
