One Last Chance

Chapter 5 Alison

        Today was the day that we had to move out. I helped my mom and dad pack the last of the boxes into their car. I didn't know how long it would be till I would see them again. I gave them one last hug, holding them tightly in my arms as my aunt Tasha was waiting in her car at the side of the road. She honked her car reminding me that it's time to go and I held my suitcase in my hand while getting into her SUV and we drove away. When we reached her house that was honestly 15 minutes away I ran inside as she opened the door and went upstairs to the guest room. I unpacked and sat on my new bed wishing that Tyler was sitting next to me. I daydreamed about him and snapped back to reality as Tasha walked into my room. She said
    "So, do you like your new room?"
     "Ya, it's very big"
    "Thanks, but Alison I hope you know that your parents will get their house back and you'll be together again soon, I promise"
    "Thanks aunt Tasha"
    "Your welcome, well I'll let you unpack and I'll just see you at dinner tonight, ok"
    "Ok" I smiled at Tasha and then asked her while she was leaving my room
    "Hey, can I go see a friend today we were planning on going for a movie?"
     "Ya sure just be back soon"
      "Ok" As Tasha left my room I opened my bedroom door, walked downstairs, got my coat and went out the door. I caught a sight of Tyler leaning against my porch. He said
   "Hey, Ali ready to go to the movie"
    "I laughed slightly from looking at the expression on his face" And said
    "Ya let's go" We went into his Bug and drove to the movies. As we got there I saw K standing in the entrance.
  "Oh no K's here" I said
   "So?"
   "So, we have to hide. I don't want her to tease me while seeing us together"
   "Ok fine I get your point Ali" We covered our faces while entering Cineplex and ran to buy our large popcorn and tickets at the counter. We were going to see The Night of Terror. Tyler grabbed my hand and took me into the theatre. We sat down at the second row and began to watch. The movie was actually really boring. But we already payed for the tickets so we had to finish it. Tyler pressed the side of his body into mine and I watched his sparkling blue eyes. I could tell he was trying not to smile, but I was mesmerized. Suddenly I saw K behind us at the top row. I guess she came to see The Night of Terror too. I nudged Tyler and told him that she was right behind us and we slouched into our seats covering our faces. I guess we were not that invisible to K becuase she instantly caught sight of us and said
    "Oh, hey Ali, it's weird that we bumped into each other at this theatre and I see you're with your "special friend" am I right" K raised both of her eyebrows to those words.
    "Ya hi K nice to see you too" I said in an annoyed tone. So our movie date was ruinned and K talked throughout the whole movie. After the movie we came out of the theatre and K followed us.
   "Wasn't that movie great guys"
   "Not really, but whatever"
    "Well I liked it, anyway Ali I got to run, so I'll talk to you later then"
    "Ya, see you later K" I kinda felt bad for avoiding her in the first place after she left. But I didn't want her to mock me about Tyler because I knew she would. Tyler touched me suddenly and told me that he needed to show me something. We got into his Bug and he drove to the woods. I was confused to why he was taking me there. But I decided to go along with it because I trusted him. He parked on the side and we got out. I suddenly said
    "What are we doing here Ty"
    "Oh Ali you'll see" He took my hand and we walked into the woods. It was quiet and peaceful. I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of nature and it was beautiful. I've always loved the outdoors. Ty took his hand and placed it over my eyes. I giggled and said
    "What are you doing"
    "You'll see Ali, close your eyes" As I did he guided me while I walked, his palm still covered over my eyes and then he suddenly slid his palm away from my eyes and told me to open them. I said ok and opened my eyes. Ty said
   "Do you like it" Still smiling I didn't know what I was looking at. He said
     "The tree" I turned to look at the left side of the oak tree and saw nothing still. Tyler took out his pocket knife and said
    "We have each other" He carved my initials and his intials in the tree. It said AJ+TG= ❤️. He said
    "As long as we are together our initials will stay in this tree forever" A tear fell from my eyes against my warm skin. I felt so lucky to have him in my life even though our relationship seemed to be going a little fast. I looked down at the ground so Tyler doesn't see me cry. He touched his fingers to my chin as I looked up and he wipped my face with his fingers and said.
    "I love you Alison Jennings" I said 
    "I love you too."
