"You came, your majesty" the oldest werewolf said

I was expecting to see a werewolf in front of me, but I guess he will die as a human. He is too weak and I can see how he tried so hard to speak, just to welcome me.

I bowed "I am Moon Yun-yeong, the queen of generation"

He smiled.

"How are you feeling? Are you okay? I am sorry if my Father can't be here. He is in a dangerous state. He is not yet waking up"

"I..." he can't even finish a word

"It's okay. You don't have to talk. I am honored to meet the oldest werewolf who protected and served the first King"

"I'll be honored to talk on behalf of him. You all can leave us" head of werewolves

Jeongin looked at me.

I nodded and smiled "You can leave me here"

The eight of them left the room, leaving me with the head of werewolves and the oldest werewolf. We are both staring at the oldest werewolf who looks weak.

"How are you? I have heard about what Chase and his group did. I am apologizing for what happened. They are punished for what they did" head of werewolves

"I am fine. Just overwhelmed of the greetings I received as a Queen which I never experienced before. Back then, I am always in my room and would spend time with Haneul. I guess I have to be ready fornthe upcoming events"

He smiled and nodded "I agree. You should be ready at all times"

"May I ask about the connection of the first king and the oldest werewolf?"

"Ah, about them. It was unexpected. The first King was in trouble that time. To his surprise, the werewolf he is scared of, saved him, unexpectedly. He was so thankful and even offered a lot of things to thank him but the oldest werewolf refused. Instead, he asked to let him serve and protect the first King and the next ruler of the Kingdom, which is the agreement and promise they made. He said yes. Everything was so sudden, until some unexpected event happen. The first King ended everything. He asked the oldest werewolf to never let any werewolves come near the royal family" head of werewolves

"What was the reason?"

"No one knows. The connection of the first King and the oldest werewolf became nothing. It was crazy. Everything ended in a glimpse, but no matter what the first King decided. We made sure we will keep the promise we made. Secretly, different werewolves are assigned to protect and serve the ruler. Chan was assigned to protect your Father and find you but he failed to do so" head of werewolves

"He found me-"

He shrugged his shoulder "We still don't know what will happen"

I stayed quiet and quit the argument. I sat beside the oldest werewolf and helf his hand and I caress it.

"You can rest. I am sure you will see the first King in the other life. I am sure he will explain why he did that. You don't have to worry. You did your best. The future werewolves and generations of ruler will continue what the two of you started"

He gave me a smile and closed his eyes.

"Rest. You deserve it after a long time"

I nodded "Thank you as well"

I got on top of Chan and all left the hideout. They ran as fast as they can, but Chan remained my balance so I won't fall. As we arrived at the house, I got off.

"Thank you for coming with me"

They just growled and entered the house, and one werewolf is left outside with me.

"Who are you?"

He just looked at me.

"Ah, you are probably Hyunjin?"

He wagged his tail.

"Was it about what we talked about? Don't worry. This will be the last time we will see one another. I hope you all can rest and make sure to give the oldest werewolf the blessing he deserved. Thank you for being with me. Thank you for making me feel safe"

I smiled and caress his head. I got in the car and drove it to the palace. Was it right? That I ended the connection...

As I arrived at the palace, police car is everywhere. People from the palace gathered outside. It was a complete chaos which I didn't expect to see. I got out of my car and tried to go in but police stopped me.

"May I know what happened?"

He bowed "It-"

"Are you okay, your majesty?" maid asked as she checked on me

I nodded "I am. Why? What is happening? What's this chaos all about?"

"I don't know. We were told to leave while cleaning the palace. I think they are looking for you" maid said

"I am here. Stop this operation"

"I am sorry about the chaos, your majesty, but someone in your palace died due to poisoning" police officer

"What?"

Some nurses are pushing the bed and someone on top of it is covered in white blanket. I ran and took it off-
