"Hey Caroline"

"Oh, hey hope I thought you would be back to the girls now or spending some time with your family? Is something going on?"

"No, I just, we are planning to finish Alaric of, and I just couldn't help but wonder if you are really okay with all of this." Hope said genuinely concerned.

Caroline looked into Hope's eyes and took her hand to lead her to sit down.

"He was for a long time one of my best friends, someone I could trust in, but he changed and even if I don't want the girls to lose their father, I know we can't let him run around."

Caroline took a deep breath before continuing.

"I convinced myself he was fine for years; I saw the crazed look in his eyes or the way he manipulated people, but I didn't want to believe it. I was just hoping that it wasn't real that somewhere deep down he was still the same history teacher that he was when I first met him. But than he hurt Lizzie. He had hurt his own daughter and didn't even feel the slightest bit of remorse for it. That was he moment I knew that the man I once knew isn't in there anymore."

"What are you going to tell Josie and Lizzie"

"The truth, they deserve that defiantly after how many times they were kept in the dark about things."

Hope felt slightly guilty because she was the one that kept them in the dark together with their father.

"Do you want me to be there I could be emotional support."

"Sure, I know that Lizzie will need someone to help her come to terms with what is going to happen."

"And for Josie should I invite Penelope and Maya?"

"Who is Maya?" Caroline asked curiously was this a new factor in her brown haired daughter love live that she had known of until now.

"Oh, it's a friend of Josie's that goes to Mystic falls high she and Jo became very good friends over the last few weeks apparently."

"Yea they should come than, tell them to meet us in like an hour or so, but maybe leave them out in front of the door when we tell them. Then it is Josie's choice what she tells them and how much they get to know."

"You know Caroline you're a very great mother."

"Thanks Hope, I still wish I could have helped more when your parents died a few years ago."

"I know, but it's okay now they are here and if everything goes well with the necromancer, I might get to keep them for a little longer than I thought possible."

"I'm happy that you found your happiness here at the school Hope and remember if there is anything at all you can come talk to me"

"I know thanks miss Forbes."

Hope quickly hugged Caroline even if the sensation of hugging someone still felt a bit strange to her, she enjoyed it.

Walking out of the office and towards her family Hope still felt like something was missing.

Of course, she knew it was her mother's presence with her family she got used to it after she died but now, she had been back, and it is strange all over again.

Even though she really wanted to talk with them about everything she couldn't not yet, not until everything was slowly back to semi normal and her mom was standing there with them.

So, she turned around and went towards the cafeteria where she hoped she could find Penelope and tell her about what was going to happen.

Of course, when she got to the cafeteria it was empty glancing at the clock Hope could see why it was almost 11 o'clock.
