"Are you out of your damn mind?! We can't have a human being looking through the past like this!!" He shouted, his wings sprouting out as feathers flew down from his sudden outburst.

Whirl sips his green tea, and he was annoyed that THEY have to intervene with his project. The feathered demon went back to playing chess with himself, only to have the god throw the game off his table.

"How rude.."

"Enough! I've had it with you intervening with human lives! None of them are test subjects! And none of them ever enjoyed being in the past!" The god roared at Whirl who rolled his eyes.

"Not this one, my friend. See, they've been in the past for a good... a few hours or more?"

"It's been years!!"

"Oh hush! Anyways, they've been enjoying themselves! In this process, we can have another n-" Whirl got cut off when the god sighed.

"Whirl, we have enough, I know you want to help, but this isn't the way."

The demon looks down, his tail flickered in anger, and he huffs.

"When I come back, I expect Y/N to be back on earth with their memories erased." The god growled, he then turned into a glowing orb and flew off.

Whirl sat in silence as he stared at the now-empty table that once had his chess pieces on. He tapped his long digits on the table, and he hums before he shook his head.

"I don't think I'll take them out."

A carriage pulled in front of the old German mansion, the empire stepped out from the carriage and made his way to the corridors, which opened when he approached them.

Reich smiled when he saw Y/N saluting him. He went over to them and gave them a warm hug to which they returned.

"Y/N I missed you, I hope you've not stressed anymore after the whole event with Felix." German Empire chuckled a bit, and it made Y/N smile a bit.

"I've been doing fine here. Your sons are lovely children, and Berlin has made sure I'm comfortable." Y/N sighed.

"Speaking of Weimar and Dritte, I should go check on them!" Reich crowed. He went off into the living room where his sons were and he was immediately tackled by them.

Y/N laughs a bit as they shut the corridors. They shortly hear Berlin telling the boys to give their father space.

"Vater, I've made some drawings of us while you were gone!" Dritte grinned as he held his pile of drawings in his hands.

"And Austria-Hungary came over to pick up the leftover paperwork," Weimar stated. He pushed his glasses up and had his arms behind his back. It seems like Weimar is more formal when Reich is around. He must've wanted to show his father that he was mature and not like his younger brother.

"Yes, and he stayed last night and left a while ago. The boys missed you, sir." Berlin stated after Weimar.

"Gut! I'll go to my office for a bit." Reich cleared his throat. He walked down the hall with Dritte behind him, copying Reich.

Y/N stayed in the corridors, confused. Reich left without anything else. Was something bothering him? It made them frown a bit. Maybe he lost interest in them.

"Y/N is something wrong?" Berlin asked. He shook the lieutenant soldier.

"Oh! Yeah, I'm fine, just deep in thought..." Y/N chuckles, they were startled by the capital. Berlin went over to the bookshelf, picked out a book, and handed it to the lieutenant.

"Give this to him. He might need someone to talk to, and you, being his favorite person and reading his favorite poem, would get him to smile instead of being bothered by his youngest." Berlin suggested. He gave Y/N a wink and a pat on the back, making the soldier walk down the halls as they did with Austria-Hungary.

Y/N could hear Dritte's laughter and chatting as they got closer to the tall door belonging to the German Empire who was in the room with his son. Y/N twisted the knob and opened the tall door to reveal Dritte running around with his toy soldiers in hand and Reich calmly working on his paperwork.

Dritte stopped, and he smiled at the lieutenant who stood in front of him. "Guten Tag, L/N!" Dritte giggled as he started to run around Y/N with his toy soldiers and tanks.

Reich looked up and smiled softly when he saw Y/N at the door frame, "Hallo Y/N, what brings you here?"

"I just thought you'd like to read your favorite Gothic Literature and talk a bit." Y/N shyly mumbled, but it was enough for the empire to hear.

"That would be lovely, Dankeschön." He smiled more when Y/N came closer and handed him his poem, Dritte ran over to his father and immediately got on his lap.

"How's Ludwig and Gunther?" Y/N asked as they sat down next to Reich.

It was silent before Reich finally answered, "Gunther got shot in the shoulder, but he'll make a full recovery. Ludwig has been well. Gunther treats the Austrian soldier like he was a little brother to him. It's cute."

Y/N sighed in relief, knowing that the two soldiers were alright and alive.

"Oh! And I convinced the generals to have Ludwig and Gunther to the Russian front with you!"

Y/N looks at Reich with surprise in their eyes. They later hug the empire who chuckled and hugged their lieutenant back. Dritte, not knowing what was going on, hugged both his father and Y/N. He softly smiled at the group hug.
