It was a bright and sunny day in Radiator Springs. Red was watering the town's flowers and fauna, Luigi and Guido were setting up their tire shop and Flo her café. The Sheriff was partaking in his daily patrol when all of the sudden, a parade of vehicles entered the horizon up ahead.

"Hey, is anyone else seeing this?" the Sheriff asked.

"Seeing what?" Flo asked.

"That." the sheriff said, pointing to the incoming parade.

Flo rolled up to the Sheriff and gasped.

"...customers?" Flo asked.

"No, I don't think they're customers." the Sheriff perked up.

"We're home! We're finally home!" a familiar voice yelled out in the distance.

"It's them! They made it! They all made it home!" Flo yelled out.

All the townsfolk jumped in their spot and raced over to Flo.

"Is that who I think it is?" Ramone said.

"They're home! Bravo, they're home!" Luigi yelled.

Meanwhile, further up the road...

"Oh, we're finally here. Finally home. I can relax, I can deflate..." Dash sighed.

"You definitely look like you could use some relaxation." Lightning said.

"What is that supposed to mean," Dash asked.

"I mean, you're all... 'ya know..." Lightning quipped.

"Rusted?" Dash scoffed.

"Yeah." Lightning said.

"Well, that's what happens when a race car is out in the wild." Dash chuckled.

"No, that's what happens when metal is met with water." Sally chuckled.

"You know what I mean," Dash said.

"I don't know how you could ever leave this place, Boltarius." Rush picked up.

"Are you talking to me?" Both Dash and Demetria asked.

"Why not both of you?" Rush smirked.

"I think he was talking to me," Dash said.

"Oh, right." Demetria sighed.

"Cheer up, Piston Cup. It's about time that Dash got a say in the story." Dash chuckled.

"Real nice, babe. Real nice." Demetria scoffed.

"What? It's true." Dash sniggered.

"Just you wait 'til we get back to town..." Demetria huffed.

Sure enough, they arrived back in town and headed straight for Flo's café as per usual.

"You're back! We're so thankful that you're all home!" Flo said.

"We're happy to be home finally. It's been a long few weeks." Sally said.

"It certainly has, Sal. Alright, Deme and I be on our way now. We're very tired." Dash sighed.

"Yeah." Demetria agreed.

"Ah! You two are still in a bit of trouble." Sally said.

"Huh?" Demetria perked up.

"Why me?" Dash asked.

"Well, not so much you..." Sally advised.

"What? Sally!" Demetria huffed.
