My eyes couldn't help but follow the smooth golden letters that placed front and center against the top of the building where I was set to be tonight. Acadia. I had never heard of such a thing so this would be a new experience for me.

I adored the letters for a little while, staring at how well the letters were written in cursive before the wind started to blow, my legs being filled with goosebumps as my dress stopped mid thigh, nothing baring to cover the skin there. I'm sure those six letters would catch the eyes of anyone passing by, but for some odd reason my eyes never placed on the Seattle restaurant.

Just as I thought, the inside was just as lovely. There was little to no noise, the subtle soft sound of people speaking being very apparent, and soft, soft music playing in the halls. The scent of vanilla made me instantly fall in love with this place, never smelling a smell so strong but faint at its entirety. It was enough to draw you in and keep you there, but not too much to the point where you couldn't mask to eat there.

I held my clutch in my hand as I looked at the gentleman in front of me, standing behind a small booth with a small screen on top. "Welcome to Acadia. Party for one?" His voice was smooth and he talked as if he had been trained.

I shook my head slyly, voicelessly telling him that I was not here for a party of one. I was set to meet with my mother, we had planned a dinner for tonight. "I am joining a party of one so now it would be the two of us. Cousy" I told him my last name and he tapped around the screen for a few seconds before smiling and nodding quickly as he had saw the information, a reservation my mother had placed.

"She's just arrived. Right this way" he moved his body from around the booth and like a dominant figure he stood in front of me, me submissively following behind him as he lead me the way. I was intrigued to see that we had passed the kitchen on the way there, not wanting to sit near. The smell of different foods being cooked all at once made me sick to my stomach, especially if the food had a strong scent. But as I walked there was nothing disgusting about the smell. The air was fresh, as everything else was.

I had briefly searched the restaurant up so I knew that the attire would be formal, but just as the dress code was, the furniture and decor inside was as well. The walls looked to have some black coloring to it, and the paintings against the wall were nearly black and white, but mostly black contrasting from everything else. Despite the color, the aura of the restaurant wasn't dark at all. If anything it was more calming with its small contrast of colors.

People sat at round tables, black cloth spread across, dark black silverware, golden plates that held their deliciously looking food on top. Medium sized menus that were black in color, lined with gold outline and golden letters.

"Here you are. I hope you enjoy your meal, someone will be right with you" the man who's name I learned was Dominic smiled as I sat in my seat, looking across and at my mother who smiled and watched his backside as he walked away from our table.
