"And then what happened? There's gotta be more that you and father did after the war ended."
I smile at Izumi (Age 9), the oldest of Zuko and I's 3 kids.
"Well, of course. It took a while, but the world began a new era of love and peace." I answer.
"Isn't that what dad said before he was crowned Fire Lord?" Our son, Kalon (Age 6) asks.
I nod with a smile. "Yes. Yes, it was."
"What did I say?" An all too familiar voice asks from the doorway of the room.
Izumi, Kalon, our youngest daughter Allara (Age 3) and I turn towards the doorway to see Zuko standing there in the doorway, a smirk on his face.
"Oh nothing, I've just been telling these three how we ended up ending the 100 year war with the others." I shrug with a smile as he walks up to us.
"Oh really?" he asks as he sits down next to me.
"Yes, really." I answer.
"Is it true that you and aunt Azula get along now?" Izumi asks.
Zuko and I look to her before sharing a look with each other for a moment.
It's been years since Azula was defeated in the Last Agni Kai and was put into an institution so that she could get the help she needed.
But, all in all, Zuko and I's relationship with Azula has gotten better over the years. Especially after we had found Ursa and reunited her with both Zuko and Azula.
"Yes sweetie." I answer with a small smile. "We've had our moments, but your father and I do have a good relationship with her now."
"That's right." Zuko nods.
At that moment, Allara, who's sitting in my lap, lets out a large yawn before laying her head on my chest.
"Looks like it's time for bed." I say as I smile down at her. I look down at the other 2 who are sitting on the floor in front of Zuko and I. "And that goes for you 2 as well y'know?"
At that, Izumi and Kalon groan out in disapproval.
"But-" they both try to protest at the same time before Zuko cuts them off.
"No buts. When your mother says it's time for bed, it's time for bed."
I carefully stand from my chair, Zuko doing the same beside me.
"Come along you 2." I extend my hand for Izumi to take while Zuko does the same for Kalon so that we can lead them to their room so that they can go to bed for the night.

"But mother, I have so many questions about what you did to end the war!" Izumi whines as I tuck her into her bed.
"I know you do, but those questions can wait until morning darling." I tell her. "I promise to answer all of the questions that you and your brother have tomorrow."
She grins at that and I know that Kalon is grinning as well.
"Alright my darling, good night," I tell Izumi before kissing her gently on the forehead. "I will see you in the morning."
She nods and closes her eyes to go to sleep.

After saying good night to Kalon and Allara, Zuko and I walk over to the doorway.
"Good night my loves, we'll see you tomorrow." I say to the 3 young children in the room as Zuko and I stand in the doorway, saying our final good nights to them.
"Sleep tight." I smile as I close the door behind us.

After I close the door behind Zuko and I, I turn to face him to see him already looking at me.
"What?" I ask with a smile on my face.
He smiles all the while shaking his head slightly. "Nothing," "You're just such a good mom." he continues while cupping my cheek in his hand.
"And you're a good dad." I smile as I lean my cheek into his touch as we stare into each other's eyes lovingly.
"I love you." I whisper gently as I press my forehead against his.
"And I love you." he replies, smiling.
"Alright," I sigh out tiredly, taking my hand in his. "Let's go to bed now."
"Alright." Zuko chuckles as I lead him down the hall to our private bedroom to get some sleep.
It's been a long 12 years since Zuko, my friends, my siblings and I put the 100 year war to an end and I couldn't be happier. I have a beautiful family. A loving husband. I'm the Fire Lady of the Fire Nation and the people adore both Zuko and I.
I wouldn't change anything about my life. Nothing at all.
