Three years after your brother and I got married, we had our first baby. It was a baby boy, and we named him Elijah for you. He looks a little bit like you, too. He's got the blonde hair that you and your siblings all have, and his eyes are a mix between my blue ones and your brother's green ones. When I held him for the first time, I couldn't help looking at him and thinking about how he never got to know you, and about how it could have been you and I, and our baby. You never even got a chance to see how things were going to work out.
I can't help wondering, how would things have turned out if we hadn't lost you?
