Today is the day Colby and I get to find out if baby #2 is a girl or a boy I have a feeling that it's a boy because I had a dream that the baby is a boy and I know that Colby thinks that it's a boy. I get out of bed and go downstairs and I see Colby making breakfast "good morning my King" "good morning my Queen Roux got up early so I got up and we made you some breakfast" "mumma" Roux came over to me and hugged my legs "good morning my princess did you sleep good?" "Yup I sleep good how's baby?" "Baby is having a wrestling match in my tummy do you want to feel?" "Yeah I feel baby wrestling in mumma's tummy" I put Roux's hand on my belly and the baby kicked Roux's hand "baby kicked me" "don't worry Roux bear that's just baby telling you that he or she is in my tummy" "Colby can you believe we're finding out what baby #2 is today?" "It's crazy to think that soon we're going to have two kids" "mumma" "whatcha need Roux bear?" "I wove you I wanna hug" "I love you too bear" I bend down and I carefully pick Roux up and give her a hug and kiss on her cheek "Roux bear can we talk for a few minutes?" "Yeah mumma what's up?" "You know that mumma and daddy love you so much right?" "Yeah I love you and daddy too" "well you know when baby brother or sister comes mumma and daddy are going to have to take care of baby and spend a lot of time with baby but that doesn't mean that we don't love you so if you ever feel left out or like we aren't doing stuff with you don't be scared to tell us that you want to play with us or that you want us to read you a story because even though there's another baby you're still our baby and we love you so much" "Okay mumma I will" "good girl let's eat our breakfast" after we eat our breakfast I bring Roux to her room and get her dressed "are you ready to go to grandmas house my bear?" "Yeah I miss grammy" "I know you do so let's go" I carry Roux upstairs and see if Colby is ready and he is so we go back downstairs and get in the car and drive to Holly's house and drop Roux off then we get back in the car and drive to the doctors office and go in "are you ready my King?" "I'm beyond ready my Queen I can't wait to find out if we're having another princess or a prince" "same but I have a feeling I know what we're having" "what do you think we're having?" "A little boy" "really you think we're having a baby boy too?" "Last night I had the dream that you and Roux had a couple weeks ago" after a few minutes the nurse calls us back and takes my vitals and brings us to the ultrasound room and we wait for the ultrasound technician to come once she finally comes "hello again Rebecca so are we finding out the gender of baby today?" "Yeah" "Okay well you know the drill hop up on the table and lift up your shirt" I do what she says and she gets the machine ready and puts the gel on my belly and starts the ultrasound Colby and I can't take our eyes off the screen "well I know what you're having" Colby and I look at each other then at the lady "so what are we having?" "Congratulations you're having a healthy and happy baby boy" Colby and I just look at each other and smile Colby bends down and gives me a kiss and then puts his hand on my belly and starts talking to baby boy "I love you so much and your mumma and daddy can't wait to meet you" "I'll see you at your next appointment" "Okay I'll see you then" Colby and I get up Colby helps me wipe the gel off my belly and he kisses my belly and then kisses me on the lips "are you ready to tell Roux that she's going to have a little brother?" "Yeah I'm ready I know Roux is going to be so excited" we leave the doctors office and get back in the car and we drive to a party store to pick up some confetti cannons with blue confetti and pay for the cannons and leave the store and get back in the car and drive to Holly's house while Colby is driving I text my mom and brother and ask if I can FaceTime them

When we get to Holly's house I get out and grab the bag with the confetti cannons and we walk to the door and knock on the door and I'm expecting Holly to answer the door but to our surprise Roux is person who answers the door "Hey Roux bear where's grammy?" "She's making food" "oh okay let's go to the kitchen" "mumma" "Yes Roux bear?" "Is baby a brother or sister?" "We'll tell you soon" "Hey Holly" "Hey mom" "Hey Rebecca Hey son so am I getting a grandson or granddaughter?" "We'll tell you soon I'm just going to FaceTime my mom and brother" I FaceTime my mom and brother "Hey mom hey Richie are you ready to find out if you're getting a granddaughter or grandson and niece or nephew?" "We're ready" "Okay" Colby grabs a cannon and I grab one too "3..2..1!!!" Blue confetti shoots out of the cannons "ITS A BOY!!!!!!" Colby's mom bursts into tears Roux is jumping up and down and my mom and brother are crying and smiling "Roux bear you're going to have a little brother" "yay!!!!!!" Colby and I hug Holly and then Colby goes and grabs the broom to clean up the confetti "Colby you know that you don't have to clean up the confetti" "I know but I don't want to leave a giant mess for you to clean up when it's not your mess to clean up" "I know mom but I want to clean it up for you" "Thanks son you're the best" "I agree with that" after Colby finishes cleaning up the confetti we get ready to leave so Colby takes Roux out to the car to start it and get Roux all buckled into her car seat they're out there for like five minutes until Colby comes back in the house holding his wrist "are you okay Colby?" "Don't freak out but I think my wrist is broken I can't move it without it hurting like a bit—"Colby" "like a butt cheek on a stick" "nice save" "Rebecca I think we need to go to the hospital because of my wrist mom are you okay with watching Roux for a while so Rebecca can bring me to the hospital?" "Yeah I'll watch Roux for as long as y'all need me to" "Roux bear daddy got hurt so mumma needs to take me to the doctor is it okay if you stay with grammy?" "Yeah" "you're such a sweet girl I love you" "I love you too Roux bear we'll be back" "Okay dada" Rebecca and I walk out to the car and I get in the passenger seat while Rebecca gets in the drivers seat and drives to the hospital once we park Rebecca and I walk into the hospital at first the security guard was confused because we had just left the hospital from Rebecca's doctor appointment to see what the gender of baby boy was and now we're back "back again weren't you just here less than two hours ago?" "Yeah but my husband was putting our daughter in the car after we told his parents and brother and my mom and brother that we're having a baby boy he somehow hurt his wrist bad because he couldn't move his wrist or hand" "wow talk about going from the day going from awesome to shitty really quick" "Yeah for sure" "how did your daughter react when you told her that she's getting a brother?" "She was so excited I don't think I've seen her smile that big ever" while I was talking to the security guard Colby got himself signed in after I finished talking to the security guard I went and sat down next to Colby "I love you Colby" "I love you too Becca" after a while a nurse finally calls Colby's name so we get up I help Colby get up since he can't use his right wrist we walk over to the nurse and she tells us to follow her so we do what she says she takes Colby's height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature and then brings us to a room and hands Colby a cup and tells him to pee in it and then the nurse leaves "Becca my Queen I need some help" "what do you need help with" "I can't use my right hand because if I use my hand then my wrist is going to hurt like crazy so I know it's weird but could you hold the cup while I pee?" "Of course my King I love you so much you don't have to feel awkward about asking me anything keep in mind I've seen you naked before" "I know but it's just an awkward question to ask" "it's okay do you need help with anything else?" "Can you help me pull my pants down?" "Yeah let's go to the bathroom first though" we get up and walk to the bathroom a nurse looked at us super confused when both of us went into the bathroom but I don't care I help Colby get his pants down and then he hands me the cup and he takes his🍆 out and I open the cup and he starts peeing so once Colby's done I put the lid back on the cup and make sure it's secure and then I help Colby get his pants up and then I open the door for him so he walks out and we go back to our room and then he puts the hospital gown on which I help him with and then the nurse comes in and says that he needs to get X-rays so Colby and I walk over to get the X-rays but when they told me that I couldn't be in the room with him I got emotional but Colby knew how to calm me down he pulled me into a hug and he whispered in my ear "it's okay honey I'll be back soon you'll be okay I promise settle down stress isn't good for baby boy" after he said that I calmed down and a nurse called him back to get the X-rays after a few minutes Colby came back out and he hugged me "Becca from what I could see in the X-rays it looks like my wrist is definitely broken so that means I'll be home for a while with you and Roux and baby boy who we still need to figure out a name for" "Colby I had a dream about baby boy and what his name could be" "what's the name?" "Dustin Kenneth Lopez" "that's a really cool name and it's in honor of two of the most important people in our lives" "Yeah I mean my dad is the one who let me follow my dreams and dusty saved me from getting fired" "I know" "so what do you think about the name?" "It's perfect" "I agree with that can you believe that we already figured out a name for our son and in the hospital that he's going to be born in" "Yeah it's crazy I mean that Dustin is gonna be here in two months" "Yeah it's so crazy to think in less than 8 weeks we're going to be parents of two kids" the doctor comes in and says "well you have a broken wrist and unfortunately you're going to be in a cast for two months" "uhhgggg" "is that a problem?" "My wife is having our second baby in two months and I'll probably be in the cast when our son is born" "Oh wow hang on a minute I think I could put some cushion on the outside of the cast so you'll be able to hold your son but it'll be better if you could come back closer to when your son is born so it doesn't fall off" "Okay" "so what color cast do you want?" "Black and orange" "Okay I'm going to go get the cast material and I'll be back" "Okay" Colby looks at me "I'm sorry" "what are you sorry for my King?" "Because I broke my wrist" "honey you don't have to be sorry it was an accident I'm not mad" "I just feel bad because I'm gonna have a cast when Dustin is born" "it's okay I promise it's okay we'll figure it out" "I love you so much my Queen" "I love you too my King we'll get through this" "I know you should've seen Roux's face when it happened she saw it happen" "she probably thinks that it's her fault" "but I told her that it wasn't her fault and that daddy's just a cluts sometimes" "you're not super clumsy just injury prone" "agreed I am the guy who tore his mcl acl and meniscus trying to flip over Kane and broke his back and still wrestled" "I still can't believe you wrestled with a broken back you're so lucky you didn't get paralyzed" "I know" there was a knock on the door and the doctor walked in with the cast material "this is probably going to hurt because I have to make sure that the bone is in the right spot for it to heal" "Okay" Colby grabs my hand and looks at me thankfully the doctor gave him some medication to make him loopy because if not he would be fighting the doctor so the doctor touches Colby's wrist and feels the piece of bone that broke off and he grabs it and holds it for a minute and then he says something that freaks me out "Can you hold this piece of bone where it is right now" by this point the doctor had already put the cotton on Colby's arm and all that was left was to put the colored hard cast on Colby's arm so I give Colby a kiss and grab the piece of bone GENTLY and hold it in place while the doctor wets the hard cast and starts wrapping it around Colby's arm and when the doctor got to Colby's hand he went between Colby's thumb and index finger and wrapped it up then he was done and told us to wait a few minutes for it to dry after a few minutes the doctor told us that we could leave so we got back in the car I'm driving home because Colby's loopy so I helped him fasten his seatbelt and then I drove back to Colby's moms house and I got out and helped Colby get out and walked to the door and I knocked and waited Colby's mom answered the door "we're back and Colby has a cast" "so he broke his wrist" "yup" "why does Colby look black out drunk?" "The doctor gave him really strong pain medication before he put the cast on so Colby wouldn't punch him in the face" "Okay well Roux crashed a few minutes ago and I definitely would not wake her up because she was cranky before she fell asleep" "Okay" "mom why do you have three heads?" "Holly and I look at him then at each other and try not to laugh our butts off because we didn't know how loopy he was until now "son go take a nap" "but I don't wanna" "Colby Daniel Lopez do what your mother tells you to" he looked at me like I just killed his mom and went to the living room and laid down on the couch "damn Rebecca how did you do that he never listened to me when he was a kid?" "I think it's because he knows if he talks back to me he won't get lucky in bed for a year" "so you use sex to threaten him?" "Pretty much" "wow" after that I walk upstairs to the room Roux is sleeping in and I get in the bed with her because I'm tired too but I wanna cuddle Roux before Dustin comes after a few minutes I fall asleep thankfully Colby and I already set up Dustins nursery and the only other thing that needs to be done except for having Dustin is hanging up the letters that spell out his name and we decide that we aren't telling anyone what Dustins name is until he's here after a few hours Roux Colby and I wake up and decided to head home so that's what we did and when we got home Colby and I decided to talk to Roux because Dustin is coming soon so Colby and I are sitting on the couch with Roux between us "Roux bear can we talk?" "About what mumma?" "When your baby brother comes" "Okay" "you know mumma and daddy love you so much right" "Yeah I love you and daddy too" "well my bear when baby brother comes mumma and daddy are going to have to take care of him a lot and it'll take a long time for me daddy baby brother and you to get a new routine so if you ever feel like we aren't paying attention to you just tell us and we'll figure out something fun for the three of us to do" "When baby brother comes can I help take care of him?" "If you want to but just not in the middle of the night because we want you to still get as much sleep as you can but while mumma and daddy are in the hospital when baby brother is born you get to stay with grammy and grandpa bob and uncle Brandon and auntie Ashley said that she'll come visit you too" "yay" "I miss auntie Ashley a lot" "I know you do so do I too but she's doing really good right now because right now she's the smack down women's champion" "but she'll never be the first smack down women's champion that belongs to the best mumma in the whole wide world" "you're so sweet Roux bear" Roux yawns and I can tell that she's definitely tired "Roux bear are you sleepy?" "Yeah I sleepy" "Okay bear is it okay if daddy carries you upstairs and tucks you in tonight I'm extra sleepy?" "Yeah daddy can tuck me in and sing to me" "Colby she wants you to sing to her when you tuck her into bed" "Okay Roux bear let's go tuck you into bed" Colby picks Roux up and carries her upstairs and tucks her in then he turns on the baby monitor and then I watch him sit next to Roux on her bed and sing to her right before she fell asleep she grabbed ahold of Colby's left leg and laid her head on it he looked up at the camera for the baby monitor and I could tell that he needed my help so I got up and climbed up the stairs and went into Roux's room and I very carefully got Roux's arms off of Colby so he could get up and he turns on her white noise machine and princess night light so if she wakes up she can see to get out of her room and come to our room I go back over to Roux and give her a kiss on her forehead and we leave the room we leave the door cracked open because Roux is too short to reach the doorknob and then we go to our bedroom and we get our pajamas on which for me consist of a pair of Colby's sweatpants and a sports bra and for Colby he sleeps shirtless which I'm a huge fan of because I always end up using Colby's chest as a pillow because I can always sleep better if I can hear his heartbeat after a few minutes of us laying in bed together we end up falling asleep
