Demetri had hopped back down next to Finley. He had been talking to her for a few seconds before he realized she wasn't listening and was staring off into space. His shifted slightly behind her, attempting to figure out what she was staring at. It didn't take him long, his eyes landing on his best friend.

He barely managed to contain his sigh. "You're staring at him."

Finley nearly jumped out of her skin as she suddenly was made aware of how close Demetri was standing behind her. Her head snapped around to look at him.

"Geez beanstalk, don't sneak up on me like that. Next time you're gonna get punched in the face."

Demetri frowned. "How are you more violent than anyone that actually takes karate?"

"It's a gift." Finley gave him a fake smile before nodding her head in the opposite direction of the stage. "Come on, we're supposed to meet Miguel and Hawk over by that kettle corn stand."

They began to walk over, but Demetri didn't let his previous statement go. "You were staring at him. Like, noticeably this time. Typically you're pretty good at hiding it, I mean I notice but that's just because I'm-"

"Yeah, alright. I get it. I'll try to control my staring so it doesn't bother you."

Finley's voice was harsher than normal, but it wasn't totally Demetri's fault. She just hated herself for being obvious, which resulted in her shifting her annoyance onto Demetri instead. Especially tonight with Moon around, Finley knew the stakes were higher than normal to keep her crush on the down low. The realization of her feelings for the boy shouldn't change anything, if she loved him all along than there was no need for her behavior to change. Her brown eyes drifted across the crowd and saw Miguel making his way over to them, Hawk following closely behind with his arm draped across Moon's shoulders. It was only a few hours, she could handle this.

"Even I gotta admit, that was pretty cool Spidey." Finley smirked at the boy as he walked up to them.

"Yes!" Miguel's hands shot up in the air in victory before falling back to his sides, sarcasm dripping from his voice as he spoke. "Mark down the date, I finally impressed Finley Collins. Some said it was impossible, but I stood my ground and I said no, I will get through to her." He gained a horrible Spanish accent on no, which was weird for a guy who actually spoke Spanish. "Who's laughing now."

A snort escaped Finley at his cocky tone and she shook her head, a smile on her face. "I am, because you are a serious dork. Seriously you just lost the ounce of respect you gained from that demo."

"Dang it." Miguel snapped his fingers like he was fake disappointed before he grinned at Finley who couldn't help but roll her eyes at him.

"Does that mean I have some respect now too?"

Her brown eyes shifted to the other boy who had joined them, his arm still claiming Moon to his side. His eyebrows lifted as he looked at her expectantly, waiting for the answer.

"I mean that kick was pretty awesome." Part of her wanted to leave her comment there, but the lack of sarcasm would make it clear something was off. "But Demetri stole the show. Holding the board like that, true talent."

She patted the taller boy that was standing next to her on the back and earned herself an eye roll.

"Yeah, alright. You wish you were part of Cobra Kai." Hawk teased, a cool smirk residing on his face.

"Oh no, that's his wish." Finley gestured to Miguel. "Still not happening by the way."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's go play some games!"
