Finley's eyes fluttered open and she blinked to clear the sleep from them. Her head throbbed with a dull ache and she felt slightly nauseous. She stretched her legs under the covers of the bed feeling the stiffness slowly leave them as she did so. She raised a hand to her face and rubbed her eyes, before opening them and letting the light from the window flood her irises. Her gaze drifted to the wall and her heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat.

A wand was pointed at her from a Harry Potter poster.

Where the heck was she?

She sat up in the bed, her arms pushing her upright, the comforter falling off of her chest and down to her lap. Her eyes darted around the room, trying to pick up on any clues that might help her. And then her brown eyes landed on a picture frame. Her breathing slowed as she saw Miguel and Hawk holding the All Valley trophy between them, grins on their faces. Once again, her eyes looked around the room, but this time panic was not clouding her vision. The posters, the comic books, the blue comforter with orange and white stripes that laid across the bed she was in. It was Eli's room.

And then the panic set in again. What had happened last night? She had gone to a party with Miguel... but what had happened? She placed her head in her hands, gripping her hair slightly, trying to remember what had happened. Suddenly her head shot up. Her phone. Where was her phone? She patted her pants pockets but it wasn't there. Her gaze darted to the nightstand beside the bed. No dice. She looked under the covers, and the door squeaked open.

"Fin?" Her hands dropped the covers as she looked up at the boy who stood in the doorway, hand still on the doorknob as he looked at the girl in surprise. "You're awake."

"Where's my phone?"

There were so many questions to ask, her head feeling dizzy if she thought of too many, so she stuck with the one that was at the front of her mind. The boy told her to wait one second before he disappeared from the door. He returned a few seconds later with her phone. He handed it to her before taking a few steps back away from the bed. The phone screen lit up, a breath of relief left her as she saw the word Saturday. It was only the next morning, that was a good sign. And then her gaze drifted down, her face paled at the list of notifications.

17 missed phone calls from Miguel.

13 missed phone calls from Belle.

15 missed phone calls from Anna.

27 missed phone calls from her mom.

And over 100 new text messages.

"I need to call my mom." Finley whispered, already dreading the talking to she was going to get.

"Uh- my mom actually already called her."

Finley looked up at him in confusion. "When?"

Why wasn't her mom already here knocking down the door? Why had she slept here at all? What had happened?

"Just like 5 minutes ago." His head ducked down in embarrassment. "My mom didn't exactly know you were here until this morning."

"Hawk," She didn't see the way he winced ever so slightly when she called him by his nickname. "Why am I here? What... what happened?"

The boy looked up at her, confusion now mirrored in his own face. "You don't remember?"

Finley shook her head, fear running down her spine as Hawk averted his gaze to ground. He leaned his back against the wall before he finally looked up at her with his baby blue eyes.

"What do you remember?"

Finley took a deep breath in as she thought. "Miguel invited me to a party. I was shopping with my dad first, and then I went to his house and we hung out for about an hour. Then Mitch came to pick us up with Bert. We got to the party and I hung out with them and talked for a little. And then I just needed a break so I went and sat by the ocean." Hawk watched her as her brows furrowed, deep in thought, trying to remember. "Then Miguel dragged me to go dance. After awhile I was thirsty so I went and got a coke.... and then... that's-that's all I remember."
