Sunghoon's POV 🐧❄️

I soared across the ice, feeling the chilly air as my hair blew in the wind. I focused as I approached the middle of the rink, bracing myself and picking up my speed. I counted softly under my breath while my hands shook due to apprehension. I could feel the audience watch me closely as I got into the stance for the triple axel. 

"Now..." I murmured as I jumped and lifted myself off the ice. I brought my hands near my chest and my legs close to each other as I spun in the air. Everything appeared to be in slow motion. 1...2....and 3 , I calculated mentally. I landed back on the ice, managing to skate smoothly as I heard the crowd burst into cheers. 

I faced the audience and bowed. 

I looked up and was greeted by the shouts and cheers of my schoolmates. Banners were held up that said things like "Our Ice Prince!!", "Let's go Sunghoon!!", and "Go and fall on your butt you stupid prick, we believe in you!".....wait what ?!?!

As I removed my skates I saw my three idiotic friends holding an enormous banner decorated with numerous embarrassing pictures and the most absurd writing. They were sporting sunglasses and waving their hands around like madmen. 

I swear to god I'm gonna kill them.

I thanked my coach and gradually began sauntering towards the audience section to meet them. Instead, I was bombarded with a cluster of my classmates taking photographs, asking for my signature, my number and more. As grateful as I am for the support, I would still like some breathing space. 

During the commotion, I saw the three gits slipping out of the auditorium. I pushed my way through the crowd muttering silent 'thank you's' and began to chase after the three of them.

"YOU IDIOTS ! I SWEAR TO GOD I'M GOING TO KILL YOU ALL TODAY" I shouted. 

Author's POV ♨︎

Cut to 10 minutes later and Jay was squirming on the floor of the school's practice room while Sunghoon, Niki, and Sunoo tickled him mercilessly. In the end, Sunoo and Niki ditched Jay saying it was his idea and he ended up getting ganged up on by all three of them.

"afsdsahjklidafsdd...STOP I CAN'T BREATHE" Jay shrieked out between fits of laughter. The three of them stopped tickling him (though Niki was more reluctant) and laid back down on the floor.

Before either one of them could speak, they all sat up abruptly (specifically Jay) when they noticed they weren't the only ones in the room.

"Oh..um..uh.. hi Jungwon!!" Jay squeaked as he stood up hastily while fixing his clothes.

Jungwon stood near the doorway, his hand covering his mouth as he tried to fight back a smile. "Hi Jay hyung.....sorry I didn't mean to um....intrude?" he attempted. The smile was now evident on his face.

Jay was malfunctioning, so Sunoo being the good friend he was, spoke for him. "Hehe, why are you apologising? It's nice to finally meet you, Jay talks about you all the- ah yeah you guys haven't met properly let me introduce you all" Jay spoke quickly, cutting off Sunoo and glaring at him angrily.

"This guy over here is Sunoo, that's Niki his boyfriend, and the guy behind them is Sunghoon" he gestured as Sunoo and Niki turned bright shades of red. "Ahh nice to meet you all, and I know Sunghoon hyung...I just attended the event right now" Jungwon revealed warmly, "you were amazing hyung and I'm sure you'll place first."

"Ah...thank you" Sunghoon responded, looking down and giving Jungwon a small smile. As much as he did get complimented, Sunghoon often got flustered when he received such frank and genuine praise from people, especially ones he didn't know that well.

"Ah um..so uh...what brings you here...?" Jay asked him awkwardly. "Oh, I was just going to the student council meeting room when I heard someone screaming.." Jungwon replied, once again trying to fight back the urge to laugh. The three friends chuckled sheepishly while Jay looked like he just wanted the ground to swallow him right there and then.

Sunoo once again came to his rescue

"Ah the four of us are always like this...just very chaotic people..right Jay?" he said while swinging an arm around Jay's shoulder and pinching him lightly. "Ouch..ah hehe yup...so umm...I suppose you should be going for your meeting ?" Jay asked, trying to get out of the situation.

"Ah yeah...oh about that hyung, since you said that the four of you were fine with helping out, would you be able to join the meetings from next week onwards?" Jungwon inquired as he straightened his stance. The four of them glanced at each other, nodding.

Jay turned back to Jungwon and said "Yup, we'll be there...oh um maybe you could give me your number so you can tell me when it is?" Jay asked, quickly looking at the floor. "Oh yeah here let me give it to you" Jungwon strode towards them. The other three fought back the smirks and fits of laughter that were building up as they watched the two exchange numbers.

"Alrighty then, I'll see you all there. Byeee guys!!" Jungwon expressed happily as he gave Jay a quick pat on the back.

Once he was out of sight, the three of them wasted no time in attacking Jay.

"You slick git, you got his number..you aren't as dumb as I thought," Niki remarked as he ruffled Jay's hair which earned a smack from him.

"You looked like a lovestruck dummy...I knew you were whipped for the guy but damn I didn't think you fell that hard" Sunghoon stated, grinning broadly at his best friend.

"It's official everyone, Jay has gone from being an idiot to a lovesick idiot" Sunoo proclaimed while patting Jay's back.

"FOR FUCK'S SAKE-"

Holy sheesh, well this is a step up.

In the next couple of chapters, you'll be able to see how different Sunghoon is when it comes to talking to other people versus his friends. I know that this seems pretty slow and Jake still hasn't made his appearance, but I really don't wanna rush it.

You should probably not expect to see Jake for at least another chapter, but I will be introducing a couple other side characters into the story.

Lol, I really am giving Jay a hard time with all the teasing in this book aren't I?

Added to the main plotline I will be putting in this whole side ship of Jaywon for you guys and some Sunki moments as well.
