****Sonny's POV****

"Nina can you just go to your room for a minute so I can talk to Amanda?"
I said

"Yeah dad."
Nina said

"What's wrong?"
Amanda asked turning away from the stove, she was preparing for dinner

I sorta started to tear up

"Sonny what's wrong?"
Amanda put her hands on my arms

"Donald came into the precinct today, and then he contacted Nina on Facegram. I got pretty upset."
A few tears fell down my face

"Nick said you got pretty upset."
Amanda said

"Yeah, he just makes me feel more guilty that I wasn't there."
I said

"You didn't know Sonny, how was you was supposed to be there? Plus if he wouldn't have been driving drunk he wouldn't have caused her to go into foster care, but she did get connected with you."
Amanda said

"Besides she wouldn't go back to him even if she could, she loves you and knows you're her dad."
Amanda said

"Go talk to your daughter."
Amanda leaned into me and hugging me

"I will."
I said letting a few more tears fall down my face

****Nina's POV****

*((knocks on my door))*

"Hey Nina can I come in?"
Sonny asked

"Yeah dad."
I said

I put my journal Down and put it in my nightstand

Sonny came and sat down on my bed

"Sorry I rushed you off to your room."
Sonny said

"It's ok, I know you wanted to talk to Amanda."
I smiled

"Listen Nina, I don't want you talk to Donald until I can figure out what to do, if he contacts you again on social media, approaches you, or anything. I wanna know."
Sonny said

"Ok."

Sonny handed me back my phone

"I'm serious please tell me."

****Nina's POV****

**((A week later the following Friday))**

Tonight is our first game of the season, it's football season. We don't have a football field on our campus at school since our school is on a beach, so we use a football field up the road, doesn't make sense but it works I guess.

Tonight we are playing at the high-school of the school I was last at before going into foster care.
It's emotional thinking about it honestly, I was 9 when I was here last.
I was looking in my hand mirror finishing my makeup when I heard my phone go off

I opened it and it was another message from Donald

"Not tonight."
I said

Nina,
Im going to be at the football game tonight at your school you was at before the accident. You should come, and if you do please talk to me I have something for you

I said putting my phone down

I finished my makeup and seen my phone went off again

Hey Nina, I'm sorry I won't be at your first game Of the season tonight. Emergency at work. Uncle Nick and Amanda will be there and Nick said he would bring Noah. I want to hear all about it tomorrow.

I was disappointed he wasn't coming but I understood, he's at everything and this is the first thing he's actually missed.
I was just annoyed more if the fact that Donald was going to be here now I had to worry about running into him.

"Hey Nina you ready to head to the track?"
Alexandra said

"Yes."
I smiled

My best friends Alexandra, Mia, and Jackie are also on the team with me.

There's a total of 10 of us.
Alexandra, Mia, Jackie, Tori, Renee, Julia, Megan, Rachel, Emily, and then myself.

We all get along good which is great and there's no drama so it's our little click

We was heading to the football field and I was looking around just thinking about everything

The game was good and we won 50 to 45

I was walking with the girls back to the locker room
