part nineteen - the balcony

later that night, after everyone had gone to sleep, i got a surprising message from peter parker.

but why was he contacting me?

i opened the message and read what he'd put

meet me on the balcony. P

what? how was he going to get onto the balcony? and why did he want to see me, especially after the other week. "i don't want you in my life anymore" really? because meeting him on the balcony really didn't sound like me not being in his life.

nonetheless, i still went out to the balcony, and waited for a couple of minutes. just as i was about to go in, someone or something fell from above

it was spiderman, did peter want me to talk to spiderman? i didn't understand

"spiderman?" i asked, confused

he pulled off his mask. oh my god. there was no way. no this couldn't be real. i was dreaming. yep i was dreaming. oh my god.

"PETER?" i yelled as he covered my mouth with his hand

"shh shh"

"i can't believe you. you're so.. ugh you know what parker? you have no right-" i said as i started walking away from him

he cut me off by pulling me closer, with his webs. he grabbed my waist and i was completely lost for words. what was going on?

"olivia, look. the reason i didn't want you in my life anymore isn't because i didn't care about you-"

"but you said-"

"i know. i know what i said. i didn't mean it, and im truly sorry. the reason i tried to distance myself from you was because i do care about you. and i love you"

i didn't know what to say

"it's okay if you don't feel the same i just thought-" i stopped him by kissing him. i didn't think about what i was doing, i just did it.

he pulled away. oh.

"im sorry i.." and then he stopped me, by kissing me back. my stomach filled with butterflies- this didn't feel real.

i pulled away "i love you too." i laughed as he blushed

"look, the main reason i distanced myself is because now i'm spiderman, i didn't want that to effect you. i'm sorry i just thought that-"

"don't worry. i understand," i smiled, "you wanted to keep me safe. but how did you even?" i said as i gestured to his spiderman outfit.

"oh, right yeah sorry- uh you know the day we went to oscorp for the tour, and i went into that room?"

"yes.."

"well they were experimenting with this weird species of spider, i don't know the full details, and i got bitten"

"i still can't believe you're spiderman" i said

"neither can i to be honest" he chuckled

"well," i pointed to the door, "i should probably.."

"right yeah yeah of course, i'm sorry for disturbing you"

"no don't worry" i smiled

"oh one more thing," he said before he left, "i've been kind of looking out for you recently, and earlier you were with a guy, out here"

"oh yeah that was gwens brother, philip. what about him?" so peter was the one who was watching me- i knew i felt a weird presence i thought

"well uh i kind of overheard a conversation about going for coffee"

"oh, that was just something philip asked, i didn't really want to go anyway, yeah he's a nice guy- but i don't know.."

"well i guess i'll see you tomorrow" he gave me a cheesy grin. god i missed those

"see you parker"

"oh- wait! one more thing, i bought you these" he said as he pulled a few squashed flowers from his backpack

"oh, lovely" i laughed

"yeah they're beautiful right?" he laughed back

"they're beautiful"

"they were- they were nice"

"no they're beautiful"

"i'm sorry" he covered his face with the flowers

"no it's impressive, they actually held together very well"

"well im gonna keep these" he said as we both gave a chuckle

"okay bye pete" i waved goodbye

"bye liv" he waved back, and then flew off into the distance

i was so in love with him
