"Sounds like you guys went through hell!" Yami laughed when he heard the report you, Magna, Noelle, and Asta gave.
"Hey, Captain, I don't think this is a laughing matter", Asta spoke up, still a bit upset about Seihi's death.
"Being depressed isn't going to bring Old Man Seihi back. Right?" he asked, taking the cigarette out of his mouth.
"Yes, sir! It's just as you say, sir! Old Man Seihi liked to see everyone happy and energetic. Come on, you guys should be laughing, too!" Magna agreed with Yami and faked a laugh. Asta repeated his actions. Noelle sweatdropped and you sighed.
"That's how it should be. What happened to Old Man Seihi is a shame, but you four were able to protect the villagers. Be proud of that" Yami assured you four. "Well done. Great job idiots."
"Thanks!" Magna and Asta yelled. Magna did a salute and you repeated it, wanting to know more about the different squads, and maybe see some unique magic.
"What's that?" Asta asked when he looked at the salute Magna made.
"You moron? You don't even know the Magic Knights' salute?!" Magna yelled, a bit of shock coated his tone. "Take a good look. These fingers symbolize the clover", Magna explained. The index, middle, and ring fingers were pointed straight while the thumb held the pinky finger in place under the other three.
A spatial portal appeared behind you. Finral and Vanessa walked out of it, most likely on a mission or at the capital. "We're back."
"Great job your four", Vanessa congratulated.
"Captain, we went to the Magic Investigation Department", Finral stated. Yami asked if they found anything about the attackers and Magna threatened to raid their base if it was found later.
"Well, you see, they investigated the item he left behind, but we still don't have a clue", Vanessa answered. You were disappointed. You were pissed off at how someone so casually self-destructs themselves to keep someone safe or information leaking about them.
"Tch! How useless can they be!" Magna created a fire in his hands and it formed a fireball which he threw at the wall, causing cracks to form in it.
"You fools! Stop breaking stuff!" Yami's aura changed again, and he destroyed another wall, breaking it into tiny pieces... again.
"But you're the one destroying whole walls!" you screamed out and quickly froze. Luckily the sound of the wall falling apart covered your voice.
"But that pocket watch is pretty nice", Finral commented.
"Yes, and from what you said about how they were acting, they were all of high status", Vanessa added. Now that you thought about it, Heath did have a lot of mana and no commoner could perform that much.
"So they're royalty and nobles", Magna gritted his teeth.
A small bird peeked from Asta's head. "Oh, who's this little guy? He's adorable", Vanessa said as she looked at the bird.
"How is it adorable?!" Asta yelled. "This thing is far from adorable! It keeps poking my head!" the bird poked his head again.
"Maybe he got offended by your comment", you boldly suggested. Asta took out his sword and charged at the bird. "That's a bit too far", Finral and you sweatdropped.
Noelle protected the bird from Asta who threatened to turn the tiny bird into fried chicken. You took out your grimoire and used Teorma's Rampage. "This works like a binding spell, too."
"All right, listen up. It doesn't matter if the ones behind this are royalty or nobility. We're going to let the Investigation Department take care of this, and we'll wait for the report", Yami stated. "More importantly, I've got some good news",
