"Do you seriously think we would fall this low?"
You were sitting on the ground, playing with [D/N] who seemingly enjoyed messing around with a wooden stick she found a day earlier and demanded you to attach a few bird feathers and string on it. She reminded you of a kitten, destroying everything she sees and running around, knocking things off of tables and sharpening her claws on wooden walls, floors, and couches. The worst thing is she would go missing for hours and show up in Asta's room and just stare at him.
Klaus, Mimosa, and Yuno arrived a few moments after the Midnight Sun group escaped from the battlefield. Asta was asleep for a whole day and screamed in shock when he heard it from the Golden Dawn trio. "What?! I was asleep for a whole day?!"
"Yes. You were even snoring. Must've been a nice nap", Noelle commented.
"That just means he was able to use all of his strength to fight. We wanted to fight with you, but by the time we got there, the Eye of the Midnight Sun had escaped", Klaus explained, defending Asta in the first half with valid points.
"You guys contacted us too late", Yuno sighed.
"That's why we were caring for you after you were brought to the church, Asta", Mimosa piped in.
"Thanks for the recovery magic!" Asta thanked her.
"It's nothing at all. The one who worked the hardest to make sure you were okay is Klaus. He even checked up on [Name] a couple of times, too. They weren't in a bad state, but he still wanted to make sure they were okay", Mimosa added. "I was also extremely worried about their condition, and so was Yuno. I'm glad they weren't that badly hurt."
"A-ahem", Klaus coughed. "More importantly, thanks to you and the others, it appears that all the kidnapped children are safe. Also, regarding the perpetrator Neige, they're interrogating him back at the Headquarters. I'm assuming he knows nothing about the Eye of the Midnight Sun", Klaus told Asta.
"They're taking into consideration his deep regret and the fact that he meant no harm. I think he's going to be doing volunteer work here at this church to pay for his crimes", Mimosa spoke up, and you listened in when you heard about the snow user.
"I see. That's perfect for him!" Asta cheered at the news.
"Anyway, it sounds like you did a great job again-", Klaus' words were cut off by Yuno.
"If I were there, I wouldn't have let the Eye of the Midnight Sun escape", Yuno announced with a tiny amount of ego.
You definitely couldn't have if three Magic Knight Captains had trouble fighting those bastards. You shook your head at Yuno's words.

Asta wanted to visit Rebecca's place. When you and the rest arrived at her house, she cooked and prepared a huge amount of food for everyone. Gauche decided he wanted to be out of your presence and stood in a corner, probably still mad about Asta. You placed down a food bowl for [D/N] who seemingly ate it without hesitation.
"Asta! Thanks for lending me your robe!" Marco was behind us with Asta's robe in his hands.
"Sure. Looks like you kept it clean, just like you promised", Asta mumbled with a mouth full of food. Marco nodded.
