"Keep a cool head", Asta was panting a bit as he glared at the new enemies. He nudged his head and you nodded, straightening yourself and activating a spell. "I'll stay calm while I kick their butts!"
"This damn brat", one hooded figure spat out.
"Flame Magic: Exploding Flames!" Leopold got their attention for a moment as he threw multiple fireballs and launched them in every direction. "You think I'm gonna let you people throw your weight around after what you did to my brother?!"
Asta and Leopold were charging at the hooded figures in close range while you stood on the side and kept a distance between the enemies and you.
"What the hell are you doing?! Kill them already!" Rades yelled as he stood behind a man who had a scar on his face.
"We know. They aren't our targets, but we'll kill them off!" the man responded, frustration clearly visible in his voice as he clicked his tongue. Before they could land an attack on Leopold or Asta, Noelle created a barrier around them while you prepared Mother Nature's Roots
"Don't you think you'll kill my friends that easily!" she held out her wand as she kept up the water barrier, while a girl examined it from the outside.
"Wow, that's an amazing defense spell", the girl admired the barrier.
"Judging from your appearance, you must be a member of the royal Silva family. In that case, I'll use my grimoire against you. I wouldn't want to be rude", another hooded figure opened his grimoire whose face couldn't be made out. "Tree Creation Magic: Magic-Draining Roots!" roots started to cover Noelle's barrier and wrapped tightly around it, slowly breaking the barrier and the mana being absorbed. "No way... They swallowed my torrent."
You activated your spell and struck the same man who had drained Noelle's barrier. As your attention was on him, the scarred man hit Asta and Leopold with his spell. "Your fighting instincts are admirable. Wind Creation Magic: Tornado Needles!" thin, white wind was formed into multiple vortexes to create needle-shaped spears that pierced both Asta's and Leopold's bodies, and they dropped to the ground, grimoire glow fading.
As he prepared another strike, you created a large flame wave and blocked him from killing the two boys. You created two steel barriers, one around Noelle and one around the duo. "What's with this person?" the scarred man clicked his tongue as he stared at you.
As you prepared another attack, you created roots from the ground and wrapped them around one of the hooded figures, and charged at him, creating electricity in your hands and punching him in the jaw.
At the same time, the scarred man tried to attack you but it was stopped by mercury magic. "Ohh, what's this magic? I've never seen anything like this before!" the girl spoke up with an excited tone.
"About time", you let out a small sigh and let the other magic knights take over while you held the one in the place that you captured.
As the other knights took their position, none of the hooded figures dared to move. You took the opportunity to move to Asta and Leopold while Klaus held Asta up a bit. You began to heal them but soon noticed Valtos dropping down a spatial portal behind the scarred man. "It'll cost us if we keep fighting. Let's retreat."
