How To Fall Asleep Easier

- Turn off electronics
Remove all electronics with bright screens at least an hour before bed so it will easier for your body to become tired.

- Take a hot bath
Raising temparture of your skin increases your sleepiness rate. Take a hot bath or shower for at least 20 minutes before bedtime.

- Cool off your room
Lower your thermostat so the tempature is 65° or lower[or use fan]. Cold air tempatures induce sleepiness and prevent night sweats.

- Read a book
Reading reduces stress and helps your mind unwind. Choose a favorite book and read for a little before going to bed.

- Drink a warm drink
Sipping a hot drink will relax your body and mind. A cup of hot cocoa or green tea(decaf) would be perfect.

- Avoid caffeine late in the day
Stop drinking caffeine around 2pm so your body has plenty of time to digest the energizing effects.

- Reduce unwanted noise
Turn on a white noise generator or a recording of nature sounds. You can also listen to soft,relaxing music. Yellow Brick Cinema is a good suggestion.

- Count sheep
Well, don't really count sheep, but try counting. Doing a repetive task in your head will distract your mind and bore you into exhaustion. Try counting backwards from 300 by 3's.

- Eat dinner earlier
Your body needs time to digest and laying down as your body processes all the food you've eaten will make it difficult to fall asleep quickly. Try eating dinner at least three hours before going to bed.
