Twilight's Last Gleaming Part One - Chapter Eight

It flew across the sky with a parachute chasing after it. I gasped, a smile appearing on my face. It was a ship from the Ark, they were coming to help. I jumped up from my swinging cot and ran down the hill, I passed threw the wood wall and into the camp. People were looking up at the ship, awing at the sight. I jogged over to where Octavia was standing.

"They're coming to help us." I said aloud, Octavia nodded.

"Please tell me they brought down shampoo." A girl with a blanket wrapped around her naked body said.

I glanced at her, she and another naked girl were standing beside a shirtless Bellamy. My eyes flickered onto Bellamy's face to notice he was already studying my facial emotions. He gave me his famous smirk, I rolled my eyes and looked back up to see that the ship was gone.

Everyone dispersed and gathered things to get ready for the hike towards the ship. I still looked up into the sky, the stars twinkling back at me. Octavia nudged my shoulder and motioned me to follow her. We walked into Bellamy's tent beside each other, a torch illuminated the room.

"We should get moving, everyone's ready." Octavia says, glancing at the map that was sprawled out across the table. There was an 'X' in a spot near a river, only a half an hour hike form here.

Bellamy shook his head, he now had his shirt and jacket back on. "No ones going anywhere while it's dark. It isn't safe. We'll head out at first light, pass the word."

Someone left the tent, I licked my dry crusted lips. Shaking my head I looked up to Bellamy and said, "Like hell I'm not, my mother could be on that ship. I'm going."

"No, you're not. We'll all go in the morning. Listen to my orders, Blithe." Bellamy replied sharply.

"No, you're not the boss of me." I whined like a three year old and left the tent.

I stormed around camp, trying to find a backpack to stuff some food in. After making a makeshift bag I stuffed in a small pack of food, a full water flask, a flash light and a large knife in case of anything. I threw the bag around my shoulder and walked towards the gate, someone called my name.

"Blithe, you're not leaving. It's too dangerous out there." Bellamy grabbed my shoulder.

"I go by my own rules, I don't have to listen to you." I told him and shrugged off his grip.

"You'd listen if Clarke was here!" He grabbed my wrist again trying to keep me inside the camp.

"Let go of me, Bellamy." I stopped, trying to draw the attention away from us.

"I can't let you leave."

"Why, what are you going to do if I leave? Banish me from camp just like you did to Murphy?" I snapped and pulled my wrist away, I moved closer to him showing that I wasn't scared. "I dare you."

Bellamy gulped and looked away, he didn't know what to say. I turned away from him and pushed open the gates and left the camp. I turned on my flashlight and walked around the gates remembering that the estimated are that the ship landed was south of the gates.

A breeze kicked in, blowing my hair into my face. I set the flashlight down and put my hair over my head, tying it with an elastic into a messy bun on top of my head. A soft 'click' sounded, my flashlight had turned off manually. Frowning I picked it up and smacked it against my hand a few times, it turned on.

I shined it in front of me, a tall figure hovered over me. I let out a screamed and dropped the flashlight. Large hands grabbed my face and pulled me closer to him. Soft lips pressed on mine calming down it felt good to kiss someone, I suddenly pulled back realizing I was kissing a total stranger.
