"-and he just turned around and ran away!" Harry finished his story about his encounter with Justin Finch-Fletchley, whereas you can probably tell, Harry tried to say hi, and Justin, well, ran away.

They were sitting on one of the common room couches near the fireplace, our favorite spot. Everyone else had already gone up to the bed, as it was past midnight but Rigel was staying up helping Harry finish his charms homework.

"Don't overthink it, Harry. Everyone's kind of terrified of us right now," Eliza tried reassuring him. "Anyways, it's late, and I've got to finish this huge stack of homework before Hermione kicks my-"

"Okay, and that's all I needed to hear, goodnight!" Harry interrupted. And the duo watched him leave.

"Well, goodnight Eliza." Rigel signed.

"Wait," Eliza said stopping Rigel. "Can you... help me with my homework?" she asked slightly blushing. "I have a lot on my plate right now, and I really need some assistance."

Rigel smiled. "Well finally. I was waiting for you to ask." he plopped down next to her. "Oh, transfiguration? Well. First, you have to"

"What the bloody hell?" Rigel whispered.

Eliza opened her eyes slowly and jumped at the situation she was in. They were in the common room and she slept on Rigel freaking Black.

"What are you doing sleeping on Rigel?" Harry whispered, sounding pissed but not exactly terrifying.

They both jumped stuttering before Eliza and Rigel ran towards their dormitory. Rigel hoping for a few hours of sleep.

Until Dean's muggle alarm rang.

"FUCK!"

The next Wednesday, the strangest thing happened during History of Magic: Hermione raised her hand.

Professor Binns, glancing up in the middle of a deadly dull lecture on the International Warlock Convention of 1289, looked amazed as if someone had never raised their hand. Dead or alive.

"Misser -?"

"Granger, Professor. I was wondering if you could tell us anything about the Chamber of Secrets," said Hermione in a clear voice. For once everyone in the class was interested.

"My subject is History of Magic," he said in his dry, wheezy voice. "I deal with facts, Miss Granger, not myths and legends." He cleared his throat and continued. Hermione's hand was waving in the air again.

"Miss Grant?"

"Please, sir, don't legends always have a basis in fact?"

"Well," said Professor Binns slowly, "yes, one could argue that I suppose. Let me see ... the Chamber of Secrets ..."

"You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. The four school Houses are named after them: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin." Everyone stared at Rigel "They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution."

He paused, gazed blearily around the room, and continued.

"For a few years, the founders worked in harmony together, seeking out youngsters who showed signs of magic and bringing them to the castle to be educated. But then disagreements sprang up between them. A rift began to grow between Slytherin and the others. Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed that magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. He disliked taking students of Muggle parentage, believing them to be untrustworthy. After a while, there was a serious argument on the subject between Slytherin and Gryffindor, and Slytherin left the school. "
