It's funny how fast time goes

It's funny how fast time goes. It's already Christmas Eve. I've been here for around two months already. It shocks me. How in the space of 2 months, my life has completely changed. I've met new people. New friends. I got super close with people I had just met. My quality of living shot up rapidly. I live in a different country, a different place, new territory. Amongst dangerous people, yet I feel safer here sometimes. Maybe it's the fact that this mafia is still going after multiple attacks, making it proven they're good at what they do and keeping them and their people safe. Or maybe it's because I'm enclosed in this massive mansion, gates surrounding it, guards all over the premises.

And sometimes, it even feels like a prison. Keeping me from complete freedom, locking me up here, miles and miles away from where I should be right now.

That's with my mother, in America, spending Christmas eve with her and getting ready for the big day tomorrow. Or it's with Iris and Helen at The Coffee Joint, watching the couples come in for the last open hours, spending time with their loved ones. Then going home to watch a bunch of Christmas movies together while drinking hot chocolate.

But instead I'm here, in this mansion, but I'm not all that sad. Yes, I don't get to see my mum for Christmas and spend the season with her in America, or have a Christmas movie marathon with Iris at her house, but I'm here with people I also love and cherish.

I might've only known Sam, Vera and Elena for two months, but I feel like I've known them for so much longer. We got along so well from the start and that kept up. Now spending Christmas with them is something I'm really looking forward to doing.

Every one of them is so unique and fun in their own ways. Sam has a great sense of humour and she's truthful and honest, Vera is witty and gives the best advice ever and Elena is automatically likeable and outgoing.

They're the bestest friends I've ever met.

When we'd bought our dresses for the ball last week, we carried on shopping for accessories and shoes to match. I got a pair of heels that matched my dress perfectly, some gem earrings, a simple little silver necklace with a tiny crystal to match with the earrings, and a really cute anklet I found with a pearl charm on it.

The girls picked some stuff out too, but kept it a secret, to reveal on the day.

Since I got Sam for our secret Santa, I managed to pick out a present I think she'd like. I got her a pair of silver little hoop earrings, and a Victoria secret set I knew she'd absolutely love.

I also went ahead and got myself a couple things from the shop too, some nice tops, bras and bralettes, underwear, all that stuff. I bought new clothes too, which I spent way too much on.

I searched for a signature scent of perfume and finally found one, buying the bottle straight away, in addition to some other perfumes and scents I found in the shopping centre.
