New year's eve, another favourite time of the year.

It's crazy to me how Christmas was merely a week ago. But I'm super excited to wear the new dresses that came in early today for all of me and my friends.

Unlike the Christmas ball gowns we wore to France, we've all gone with shorter, snappier and shinier dresses. My dress was a satin-kind red dress with a dip over the cleavage. It had spaghetti straps and was a little scrunched on parts of my body. Vera had a wrap around emerald green dress with a slit on her left thigh. Elena had a glittery black dress, with puffy long sleeves and a rectangle shaped cut at the top, showing off her lightly tan skin and collarbones. Finally, Sam wore a sparkly pink wrap around dress, which really fit her figure and looked so cute on her.

I couldn't decide whether we looked hotter in these dresses, for new years, or the dresses we wore a week ago on Christmas. I just know I'm totally in love with this red dress I ordered.

I'll give the credits to Vera for that though, since she was the one who found it online and recommended it to me because I'd look 'Sensually hot and sexy.'

Which I'm sure mean the same thing, but I didn't disagree. The dress made me look hot. I felt like, being the colour red and bright, it made me stand out.

We were already passed breakfast and now we were finishing up some last touches for the food for tonight. Since I didn't have any cleaning to do, I decided to help the girls out with some last foods, which were mostly just finger foods.

"Just put them in a nice circle, stack them on top until you can't go higher." Elena tells Sam, who frowns at her with an annoyed look. Elena's been preparing the samosas and the spring rolls for the finger foods, which was going pretty well so far until Sam came to stack them.

Elena needed them stacked in a professional way, along with 'the Elena way' for them to be perfect.

"Look, I don't know what bullshit you're pulling but I am stacking them the right way, Elena." Sam snaps at her.

Vera's nearby me at the sink, washing up some last plates and keeping her head down so Sam doesn't notice her smiling.

Her smiles make me smile to and so I have to turn away from Sam.

"Okay, what's so funny! Because if you're laughing at me, I am so about to rip every remaining piece of hair on your head Elodie." Sam says, leaving the samosas and putting her hands on her hips.

I giggle out loud now, but Vera still hides her laughter. "It isn't just me! I'm sorry it's just funny how you can't seem to stack them the right-"

"I'm stacking them the right way!"

Elena interrupts in. "You are so not stacking them the right way-"

"You know what, who cares it's just finger foods-"
