Minutes after Elodie left my office, Damiano called me down to the main office down the hallway for a discussion. Usually, I'd leave these kind of meetings until later, but he mentioned it was urgent and it was rare that a discussion like this current one would be the topic at this time. Of course, my mind first went to Luciano. He's the most urgent and important case we have going on in my mafia, and has been, unfortunately, for the sickening few years where I've ruled it.

When I got to the main office, a lot of my mafia was already inside and huddled around together, talking and having separate conversations among each other. Again, in lesser urgent meetings we wouldn't have that many of us all together.

I scan the room and see Damiano talking to a group of my men in the corner. After the door behind me closes, it draws attention to my arrival and I notice a couple heads turn. Damiano's especially.

He greets me from across the room, by rising his eyebrows up before dropping them, acknowledging my presence. I lean against one of the desks close by, waiting for the arrival of this supposed urgent discussion.

When Dee reaches me, his hands are in his dress pant' pockets and he comes to stand before me.

"Speak." I tell him, lowering my head down in question to why the fuck he's just standing there.

"We gathered some more information on Luciano, so far it looks like there's definitely a correlation between the places he's been found at this month. You weren't here, and we need your permission, but we all think we should start a plan sooner." Damiano explains, and I immediately understand where he's coming from.

I too have noticed correlations between his locations, especially recently, but the thing that stopped me from initiating a plan sooner were simple. It's been too easy. This whole thing we're working on to look for him, he must know by know that we full well know he's alive and we're planning something big. He wouldn't let that thought of his slide. Like I've mentioned before, Luciano is one fucking cowardly bastard, but he's not an idiot. All of this feels too easy.

There's no way he doesn't think we're planning something.

However, he doesn't know what we're planning.

"And your reason for not informing me before you all agreed on this is?" I ask him, raising an eyebrow. He pulls his hands out of his pockets and forms a thumbs up in his left hand, before throwing it behind him.

"Just hear us out. It's better to start planning now than later by the end of the month." He tells me, taking a step back to get me to follow him through the crowd.

I push myself off of the desk I'm leaned on, before swaying my hand forward to indicate for Damiano to 'lead the way'.

He gives me a small fake smile before turning his back to me and walking off directly to where he was stood before.
